| Public security is an important external environment required for stable development, and peace and development have always been a hot topic of concern and an important foundation for economic and development. After the "Iraq War",the frequency of violent incidents has continued to increase, and the global spread of violence has posed a challenge to international public security. On the one hand, violent incidents not only hinder the country’s economic development, but also disrupt the country’s market order,Causing stagnation in domestic production and life,on the other hand, affects foreign investment willingness and trade with the country. However, the countries along the "the Belt and Road" include many countries. The development level and national business environment of each country are quite different. There are developed countries with a high level of economic development, developing countries with a low level of economic development, and socialist and capitalist countries with different national systems. At the same time, due to their special geographical location, the non-traditional security risks of countries along the Belt and Road have increased, and the Middle East Africa and some Asian regions are regions where violent events occur frequently, while the countries along the "the Belt and Road" involve regions. The frequent occurrence of violent events may hinder China’s exports to this region. Therefore,it is of certain value and significance to study the impact of violent events on China’s export trade.Scholars have introduced violent events that affect the stability of domestic situations into the field of international trade, breaking the traditional research pattern and injecting new ideas into international trade research.Considering that there are few studies on the impact of China’s export trade from the perspective of public security, this article studies the impact analysis of China’s export trade to countries along the route from the perspective of public security, which is a useful supplement to the study of factors affecting export trade,It is also the best test of the "the Belt and Road" cooperation initiative. This paper first combs the current situation of China’s export products, and finds that China’s exports to countries along the "the Belt and Road" account for a large proportion of China’s exports.Even in the global economic downturn, the export volume of China and countries along the Belt and Road still shows an upward trend, accounting for an increasing proportion.Countries along the Belt and Road have become our important trading partners, and most of the products exported are intermediate products,Moreover, most countries engaged in foreign trade are developing countries such as East Asia and Southeast Asia, which are more likely to experience violent incidents compared to other countries, making them a high incidence of such incidents.Based on the above analysis of the current situation, this paper selects the export trade volume of China to 41 countries(regions)along the "the Belt and Road" during the 21 years from 2000 to 2020,and uses the adjusted trade Gravity model to study the impact on China’s exports to countries along the "the Belt and Road".The research results found that violent incidents have a negative impact on China’s exports, not only hindering domestic trade, but also hindering China’s export trade to that country. However, with the proposal of China’s "the Belt and Road" cooperation initiative,it can be effective. |
