The Impact Of Trade Facilitation Of Countries Along The Belt And Road On China’s Export Trade

Trade facilitation is a hot topic that is highly valued in the construction of the Belt and Road.The “ Belt and Road Initiative ” proposes new ideas for trade development among countries in the region while pursuing its own economic transformation and development.Based on the panel data of countries along the“Belt and Road”,this paper discusses the impact of the improvement of trade facilitation on China’s export trade,which has important practical significance.This paper is divided into six parts.The introduction mainly introduces the research background and significance,research content,framework and research methods,and summarizes the innovations and deficiencies of this paper.The first chapter is a literature review,which summarizes the related concepts of trade facilitation and summarizes the research results of trade facilitation by domestic and foreign scholars.The second chapter analyzes the trade export and trade facilitation of China and the“Belt and Road”countries.It introduces China’s trade export status to the countries along the“Belt and Road”from the aspects of export scale and export distribution,and outlines the development level of trade facilitation between China and the countries along the“Belt and Road”,which laid the foundation for the construction of the post-trade facilitation indicator system.The third chapter builds a trade facilitation indicator system and measures the level of trade facilitation in countries along the route.This paper selects the four indicators of infrastructure quality,institutional environment,customs environment and e-commerce development and financial system as the first-level indicators of the trade facilitation indicator system,and chooses four second-level indicators respectively under the four first-level indicators.Through the consolidation of the various indicators,the level of trade facilitation in each country was calculated.The fourth chapter is empirical analysis.This paper adopts the extended gravity model,and adds three entity variables,namely,trade facilitation level,population size,tariff rate,and the virtual variable of whether or not it is bordering China,to make regression analysis of panel data with Eviews 8.0.At the same time,in order to analyze the impact of trade facilitation on China’s export trade in depth,regression analysis is also made on thefour first-level indicators of the impact of China’s export trade.The last chapter is conclusions and policy recommendations.Based on the results of empirical analysis,this paper puts forward policy proposals for strengthening China’s future trade development and multilateral or bilateral trade cooperation in the“Belt and Road”region,including strengthening the infrastructure construction of the countries along the line,optimizing and reforming the system environment and customs environment,and promoting the development of e-commerce and financial system.
