In the context of a new reform of the construction cost consulting industry,with the disappearance of the thresholds to enter the industry,existing cost consulting firms are consequently facing more competition and challenges to survive.Meanwhile,a door to new possibilities has been opened for the reform and development of these firms.The critical question that should ponder every construction cost consulting firm,is how to craft a corporate strategy informed by its contemporary environment that benefits its present and future development.JY Construction Consulting Co.Ltd.is a national consulting firm that emerged from a banking and financing background.Its businesses encompass every aspect of construction services.It owns over 50 branches across the country.However,as the company faces a market where its development is mature and competition is fierce,the company along with its subsidiaries were faced with various hurdles and challenges at the beginning of the establishment.This dissertation firstly analyzes the macro environment and internal resources of JY Construction Consulting Co.Ltd.,using PEST analysis method and the Five Forces analysis model.Secondly,through SWOT analysis,the research attempts to dissect the opportunities and threats faced by the company,as well as its internal advantages and disadvantages.The findings indicate that the company has three major problems.First,the lack of reform has led to a failure to fully exert the synergetic advantages between the company and its parenting bank;secondly,the unified management policies of the company’s parenting banks are not fully applicable to its operation and business;thirdly,its professional talent structure needs optimization.Therefore,as the company intends to maintain its leading status in the industry,it is reasonable for the company to adopt a more differentiated and competitive strategy.With the two unique advantages that "JS Bank is the only bank with construction cost consulting subsidiaries in the banking industry,and JY Consulting is the only consulting agency in the consulting industry that is fully funded by the bank",the company can exert its unique competitiveness in the future,and take the initiative in its development.Finally,the dissertation attempts to formulate specific suggestions to inform implementation from the angles of market expansion,customer maintenance,and promotion of services thus putting forward suggestions aiming to help optimize the company organizational structure,improve the allocation of human resources,promote an innovation-driven development of corporate branding to achieve the expected strategic objectives.
