As a variety of hotels with different functions and characteristics have entered the market,the competition in the hotel industry is intensifying.In addition,the novel COVID-19 epidemic has brought a huge impact.Facing the new situation and new normal,how to innovate marketing methods,design product features and optimize service quality turn into an urgent problem to be solved for hotels.As the core operation team,the middle managers of the hotel plays a connecting role in the management of the organization,plays a key role in guiding the team and implementing the strategic decisions,and has a profound influence on the operation of the organization.The optimization of the hotel middle managers training management system based on the competency model will help improve their ability and quality,so as to improve the operation quality of hotels.This thesis first introduced the relevant concepts and basic theories of competency and competency model,as well as explains the construction method and process of competency model.Secondly,taking TY Hotel as the research object,the actual situation of training management for middle managers in TY Hotel was sorted out and analyzed objectively and comprehensively.It is found that there are some problems in the training management of middle managers in TY hotel,such as the lack of collection and analysis of training demand information,incomplete training plan,unscientific training course setting and methods,imperfect training teachers and inadequate training evaluation.Thirdly,from the literature extraction,corporate strategy,job requirements,job performance four dimensions,the competency elements of middle managers in TY Hotel were extracted,including 32 subtotal items from four aspects:professional knowledge,professional management ability,comprehensive ability and personal trait.On this basis,the middle managers competency model of TY hotel was constructed,and optimized the whole process of training management of TY hotel with the specific problems we found,so as to form a scientific middle managers of training management system of hotel.Finally,aiming at the implementation of the training management of TY hotel,this thesis considered and expounded the systematic support for the training management of middle managers personnel from the aspects of system guarantee,resource guarantee and cultural guarantee.The research results of this thesis will be applied to the training practice of middle managers in TY hotels,and also provide a set of training management system based on competency model for other hotels in the industry.
