| With the changes and upgrading of the consumption structure of urban and rural residents in China, the express delivery industry,as a new normal and new momentum of the macroeconomy, has been developing better than traditional industries.China’s express delivery industry has developed rapidly in the past decade, among which, the spatial distribution of express delivery outlets can reflect regional development differences to a certain extent, therefore, through the data crawling function of Amap Navi map platform, using "express" as the keyword and prefecture-level city as the scope of search,a total of 179770 express delivery outlets were collected as research objects, analyzing the spatial distribution characteristics of China’s express delivery outlets and exploring the influencing factors. This paper adopts a literature research approach to gather and organize relevant studies on the distribution and factors that influence express delivery outlets both domestically and internationally. The research situation is briefly reviewed, and the current progress of research on express delivery outlets at home and abroad is analyzed.Secondly, the location data of the crawled express outlets were analyzed, and other spatial analysis techniques like the nearest neighbor index and kernel density are utilized, and ESDA were used to explore the spatial distribution pattern and characteristics of express delivery outlets in China, and based on the chain model, under the research scale of 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities that are under the direct administration of the central government,an inter-provincial express network was constructed, and Ucinet6 was used for network analysis.Thirdly, using geographic detector factor detection, from five aspects: economic factors, population factors, traffic conditions, residents’ purchasing power and information technology development,a quantitative method was adopted to explore the influence of these factors on the distribution of express delivery outlets in China. Finally,a systematic analysis is made on the spatial pattern and influencing factors of China’s express delivery outlets, and suggestions are made for the optimization and development of China’s express delivery industry and the layout of express delivery outlets. The results of the study show that:(1)from a national perspective, express delivery outlets show the overall pattern characteristics of "Dense East Sparse West",forming a northern agglomeration area composed of the Central Plains,Shandong Peninsula and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, and an eastern agglomeration area centered on the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration;the urban agglomeration of the Pearl River Delta serves as the hub of the southeast coastal belt agglomeration region.;Point-like agglomeration areas centered on Shenyang,Xi’an,Chengdu,Wuhan and Changsha; The local agglomeration of express delivery outlets showed a circle structure, and outlier clusters occurred in the northeast and central regions.(2)Express delivery has obvious denseness,"small world" network characteristics and group characteristics;(3)The placement of express delivery outlets is influenced by various factors, and with the rapid advancement of related aspects of the express delivery industry, traditional factors for distribution of express delivery networks may no longer hold true, such as population factors, will gradually reduce their influence, and new technologies will be used as a new driving force to promote and even determine the spatial distribution of express delivery outlets. |
