A Study On Spatial Distribution Pattern And Influencing Factors Of Digital Economy Development In China

The rapid development of the digital economy is a powerful driving force for global high-quality economic growth.Although a large number of studies have been carried out to investigate the development of China’s digital economy,these studies pay little attention to the spatial links between China’s 30 provinces and the development differences between northern and southern China.And the spatial heterogeneity of the impact of various driving factors on the digital economy restricts the further development of regional coordination.This thesis constructs an indicator system to measure the development level of digital economy from three dimensions of infrastructure construction,digital application and digital industry development.Based on the theory of economic growth and new economy,the objective entropy method is used to measure the development level of digital economy in various regions from 2011 to 2020,and the scale rank method,Thiel index and Arcgis method are used to analyze the regional differences in the development level.A theoretical model of economic geography is established for the impact of factor input,technological progress and institutional change on China’s digital economy.Combined with exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA)and spatio-temporal geography weighted regression(GTWR)model analysis,this paper discusses the spatial distribution pattern of China’s digital economy and its influencing factors.By decomposing regional differences,the results show that China’s digital economy DDE index rose year by year from 2011 to 2020,and the polarization and uncoordinated development are prominent.There is a large gap in the development level of digital economy between the North and the South.The development level of digital economy in the South is higher than that in the North.The development level of digital economy shows significant spatial correlation and spatial agglomeration characteristics in space.Factor input,technological progress and institutional change show obvious spatial differentiation to the driving mode of spatial distribution of digital economy.The research in this thesis provides an important reference value for promoting the coordinated development of regional digital economy,and according to the analysis results,we put forward policy recommendations to promote the development of China’s digital economy.
