| Enterprise digital transformation is an enterprise development strategy that aims at value innovation and uses digital technology to drive business transformation.Through digital transformation,it can help enterprises achieve business model transformation, innovate products and services, improve efficiency, reduce costs,so as to obtain greater competitive advantage and enterprise performance,so it has been widely concerned by governments, enterprises and academia. In China, the proposal of digital China construction goals and the release of policies such as "Made in China 2025" and "14th Five-Year Plan" intelligent manufacturing development plan provide a good policy environment for the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises. However,in the process of transformation, enterprises often invest a lot of financial, material and human resources, but achieve little results,or even lead to the failure of transformation.Especially small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises, there are complex processes, insufficient financial resources, insufficient manpower and other shortcomings, and digital transformation as a complex systematic project, the strategic transformation ability of enterprises is relatively high,if small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in the process of digital transformation do not have a clear strategy and path planning,it is easy to cause the transformation effect is not obvious or the problem of transformation failure. Therefore, strengthening the research on capability building, element and condition identification, transformation path design and other related research in the digital transformation process of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises has important theoretical and practical significance to ensure the success of digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.Based on the dynamic capability theory, this study uses a combination of survey research, qualitative and quantitative methods to study the digital transformation path of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises.Firstly,on the basis of combing and summarizing the relevant literature and theories, the research object, theoretical basis and research methods of this paper are defined, and the motivations and obstacles of the digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises are analyzed from the aspects of decision-making cognition, technology, process, organization and ability.Secondly, the impact of dynamic capability on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises is analyzed, and an empirical research framework for dynamic capability driving the digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises is designed accordingly, six condition variables and one outcome variable of dynamic capability driving the digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises are analyzed,a theoretical model of configuration matching is constructed,a scale is designed, and an investigation is carried out.Furthermore, using fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method and fs QCA3.0 and other software, the role and role of the six elements of dynamic capability in the process of achieving high efficiency of digital transformation are analyzed, and three implementation paths of digital transformation of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises driven by dynamic capability are summarized and extracted. Finally, based on the summary of the research conclusions, policy suggestions are given from the enterprise level and the government level to help the implementation of the digital transformation path of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises. The results show that:(1)the six conditional variables of environmental monitoring, opportunity utilization and threat awareness, external cooperation, dynamic management, learning ability, and R&D capability cannot be the necessary conditions for small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to achieve digital transformation, but they have a positive impact on the digital transformation of enterprises, and R&D capabilities have strong explanatory power for enterprises’ digital transformation.(2)There are three paths for dynamic capabilities to drive small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises to achieve digital transformation, namely "R&D → innovation" transformation,"perception → breakthrough" transformation, and "cooperation → dependency" transformation.Compared with existing studies, this paper adopts a fuzzy-set qualitative comparative analysis method in the search for transformation paths, abandoning the traditional "net effect" regression analysis that focuses on a single variable from a weighting perspective, which has strong applicability and exploratory value. |
