Small and medium-sized enterprises occupy a very key position in the national economy and play a huge social value.They have become an important cornerstone for the country to establish the main body of the market economy and promote the safe and healthy development of the economy and society.However,the continuous fierce market competition and the complex and severe epidemic situation have formed an increasingly severe test for the sustainable development of small and medium-sized enterprises.As companies embrace digital technology,their operations will become more and more efficient,and this will translate into improved product efficiency.For China’s SMEs,digital transformation can help them improve labor productivity,thereby increasing productivity in the face of fierce competition.win the competition.However,digital construction requires huge investment in talents,materials and money,which cannot be afforded by several large companies,let alone small and medium-sized enterprises with shortage of professional talents and insufficient capital investment.Alibaba Group started to serve small and medium-sized enterprises.Facing the digital transformation needs and problems of small and medium-sized enterprises,it has built a low-code platform based on Alibaba Cloud platform cloud-native empowerment and with Alibaba Dingding as the main data connection:DingTalk Yida.As an Internet product manager with five years of experience,the author adopts qualitative research methods through application case analysis,user interviews and related literature research based on DingTalk Yida products,hoping to answer the following research questions:What is a low-code platform?What can be done?What impact and significance does it have on the digital transformation of SMEs?This article aims to provide a reference for low-code applications of small and medium-sized enterprises by answering the above questions,and to explore the effect of low-code platforms for enabling digital transformation.The primary sources of data are customer stories collected online,user stories,interviews with SME leaders and employees,and participatory observations.All interviews were recorded and coded in text,and through grounded theory research methods,a total of seventeen initial categories were constructed and three main categories were refined:cost reduction,online collaboration,process reengineering,and a core category:digital transformation.This article hopes to help SMEs better understand the effects of low-code platforms in their digital transformation,and better apply low-code platforms,so as to better serve the high-quality development of China’s economy and society. |
