China’s reality TV shows have been developed for more than 20 years since the "Survival Challenge" in June 2000,and their scale and influence have become one of the important parts of China’s TV entertainment industry.After two periods of "entertainment-only" and "entertainment to death",domestic reality shows have gradually started to explore localization,and CCTV-led major TV stations have launched cultural reality shows,which have produced phenomenal media products and greatly This has enriched the spiritual life of our viewers.How to better explore local culture and build a wide audience base in the content production of cultural reality shows is the main research issue of this paper.This article selects the recent cultural reality show "Miles to Go" as the research object,and uses text analysis as the main research method to study the content production of the program from multiple theoretical perspectives.Firstly,the literature on cultural programs and reality shows in recent years was reviewed,and the concept of cultural reality shows was defined.Secondly,from the perspective of the field Domain theory,it expounds that the internal and external causes of the production of program content are based on economic,cultural,political and other factors.Analyzing the production elements of the program and the narrative function of the content subject,it is clarified that the seven elements of communication in the production of reality show content,including participants,suspense,and competition,constitute the program framework of the reality show.It is also clarified that leaders,guests,experts,and inheritors serve as narrative subjects to promote the narrative rhythm of the program,.According to the theory of cultural hierarchy,the production content of programs is divided into Material culture,institutional culture and spiritual culture.From the perspective of cultural memory,analyze how programs construct cultural symbols and use emotional communication to reshape and activate the audience’s cultural memory,so that they consciously take action to re create the program content and bring about the reproduction of cultural memory.Finally,summarize the existing problems and optimization of "Miles to Go" : if the purity of a professional field cannot be achieved due to the influence of external fields,it is necessary to balance the influence of internal and external fields,adhere to the production of professional field content,balance entertainment and cultural aspects,adhere to youthful expression,expand the audience group,and promote the construction of high-quality products.The innovative inspiration for the cultural reality show category is that the youthful expression effectively utilizes the obscure yet low threshold content of World Heritage culture for content production,and meme communication through emoticons and other forms promotes the reproduction and dissemination of content.Ultimately,the integration and effective dissemination of World Heritage culture resources are achieved,shaping the audience’s understanding of different city images,By summarizing and sublimating the content,people’s cultural confidence has been enhanced.On this basis,the article puts forward a prospect for the content production of cultural programs: I believe that cultural programs can learn from "Miles to Go",spread excellent Chinese culture,grasp domestic audiences,face overseas audiences,and establish a national image with the power of culture.
