Research On The Construction Of Data Ecosystem Of University Libraries In China

The "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period is a crucial period for the country to promote the transformation and upgrading of the big data industry.To promote the release of the value of data elements,it is necessary to activate all links in the whole life cycle of data elements,take value as the guide,strengthen the construction of infrastructure,and ensure the balanced development of industrial ecology.As the public data resource distribution center of higher education,university library bears the key responsibility of talent training and teaching and scientific research support,and data has become one of the core elements of university library.At the same time,in the "post-epidemic era",users’ information needs are changing to precision,immediacy and personalization,and dynamically capturing users’ preferences and bridging the gap between demand and supply has become an important topic for university libraries.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to analyze the problems existing in the existing data ecosystem of university libraries,study the characteristics of library data and users’ needs,and construct the data ecosystem of university libraries,so as to give full play to the value of data assets,improve the data services of university libraries,realize intelligent services,and further support the discipline construction,personnel training and scientific research of universities.Based on the theory of data life cycle and value co-creation,this paper comprehensively uses the research methods of literature research,network research,questionnaire survey and social network analysis,taking the data stakeholders and related data activities of university libraries as the research objects,analyzes the current situation of inter-departmental data flow in university libraries,studies the data-related policies and technologies of university libraries,constructs the data ecosystem of university libraries,and applies the organizational structure in the scene.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Investigation on the present situation of data ecosystem in university libraries.By using the method of literature research,this paper investigates the data types of university libraries,and analyzes the four stages of the data life cycle of university libraries.Through semi-structured interviews and questionnaires,we can understand the frequency of using all kinds of data in various departments of university libraries and the current situation of data flow among departments,including the data flow at three levels: resource layer,application layer and management layer.(2)Construction of data ecosystem model of university library.Summarize the existing problems of data ecology in university libraries,and the goal of building the data ecosystem in university libraries in the future.Guided by the theory of value cocreation,this paper analyzes the data stakeholders in university libraries and their relationships,explores the environmental and technical factors related to data in university libraries,and constructs the data ecosystem model of university libraries.The ecological factors in the model are interdependent,interactive and mutually promoting.(3)The organizational structure design of university library under the data ecosystem.The data ecosystem model of university library is applied to post organization,and the organizational structure of university library with data as the core is designed.On the basis of analyzing the existing organizations of university libraries in China and the organizations of foreign data librarians,this paper establishes the organizational structure of data ecosystem of university libraries in China with comprehensive management,data service,data management and support as the core.Based on the actual data-related business of university library,this paper analyzes the current situation of data flow in university library,constructs the data ecosystem of university library with subject elements,object elements,environmental elements and technical elements as the core,and designs the datacentered organizational structure of university library according to the model,which provides reference for the data business process reorganization and organizational structure design of university library in the future.
