| Network communication technology and the ever-changing new media technology are changing human social life day by day,producing a brand-new media environment,having influence on the daily life of every social individual.Recently,the smartphones have become increasingly close to people’s life,and subsequently,various mobile social media platforms continue to spring up.The elderly groups begin to contact and use social media for different needs and motivations,and try to create and release their original works on these platforms.In this process,the elderly get satisfaction from all aspects,and motivate themselves to stick to this behavior after such satisfaction and the positive feedback from the audiences.Under such a realistic background,this article combines the theory of usage and satisfaction and ERG theory,explores the process of elderly people’s social media using in Fushun City,investigates and analys their motivation for publishing works,and the satisfaction they gain from publishing works.It will examine the publishing activities of these elderly people and impacts on the production of other elderly people,providing a certain reference for internet companies where relevant social media software is located to continue expanding and optimizing the elderly market.Based on in-depth interviews with the elderly in Fushun,this paper uses grounded theory to interpret the concepts and relationships between the original data obtained from the interviews.in terms of the selection of interview objects,random sampling and snowball sampling were used to select multiple elderly people for interviews until the content was saturated.Secondly,through opening coding,axial coding and selective coding,the path map of social media use and publishing behavior of the senior citizens in Fushun City is preliminary formed.The specific process can be summarized as follows: In the digital feeding of the younger generation and the recommendation of peers around them,the elderly group notice the social media software and have the initial contact behavior with the social media software.Thus,they have the positive or negative experience of the social media software after the use of social media software.This experience will affect their cognition,choice and the further utilization of social media,so they have different preferences and use habits of different social media software.Later,as they get familiar with the software,they start to release works for various reasons and motivations and get satisfaction from all aspects.The specific process can be summarized as follows: the elderly group or in the digital feedback of the younger generation and the recommendation of their peers,they have noticed social media software and developed initial contact behavior with social media software,resulting in positive or negative experiences,And this experience will also affect their understanding,selection,and further use of media,resulting in different preferences and usage habits for different social media software.Later,with proficiency in the software,they began to try to publish works for various reasons and motivations,and received various satisfaction.This paper attempts to explore the use and satisfaction of the silver haired individuals in the era of social media by combining the elderly in Fushun’s releasing behavior of their original works on social media with the theory of use and satisfaction and the theory of ERG.,expand the connotation and adaptability of the theory of the new media era,and explore how to correctly guide senior citizens to use social media in today’s society,and how active aging is reflected in this behavior,as well as how social media can better attract and expand the elderly market,and continue to do a good job in adapting software to aging. |
