The new type of public reading space is an emerging thing,which is different from the traditional public reading space,is a new form of public cultural services,by the government or social organizations diversified cooperation,can match the reader’s knowledge needs,reading environment needs,reading service needs and other diversified needs of reading,leisure,activities,cultural and creative functions in one of the composite cultural service place.With the vigorous promotion of reading for all,new public reading spaces across the country are also booming.As an international cultural city and the world’s "media art capital",Changsha aims to build a "National Cultural and Creative Center",and a number of new public reading spaces have emerged with “harmony shared”library,Dangdang Meixi Academy,and Desiqin24-hour bookstore as typical cases.Therefore,this paper conducts a study on the construction of a new public reading space in Changsha,and aims to answer the specific connotation of the new public reading space.What are the types and functions of the new public reading space? What is the driving force behind the formation and development of new public reading spaces? What is the current status of the construction of new public reading spaces in Changsha? What are the problems?What optimizations should be proposed? The issues discussed in this study are not only the construction of new public reading spaces in Changsha,but also a bold attempt to prom.Through literature research and policy summary,this paper proposes that the current new public reading space is mainly dominated by government forces and dominated by non-governmental forces.Through the study of the case of the national classic new public reading space,it is concluded that it has the functions of time and space sharing,leisure convenience,social education,and cultural innovation.The growing cultural needs of the public,the top-level design of the government,and the inherent needs of the industry to renew itself are the main reasons for its development.Through field research,a large number of new public reading spaces in Changsha were visited,and the current development status was summarized.The development of innovative forms of public cultural services.Finally,the “Harmony shared ” library was selected as the research object,and the site observation method was adopted to conduct detailed investigation and analysis of the site selection,construction subject,library partition and spatial layout of “harmony shared”;expert interview method and questionnaire survey method were selected to evaluate the resource utilization mode,service form and content,and service satisfaction of the he + shared library.The survey results show that the “Harmony shared” library has played an exemplary role in the construction of a new public reading space in Changsha,but it also reflects the shortcomings of the development of the new public reading space: the shortage of professional talents;the low utilization rate of space;the quality of leisure services needs to be improved;the publicity channel and cooperation model are single;and the degree of capital linkage is unstable.In view of the insufficient construction of the“Harmony shared” library,it is proposed to increase policy support;build an operation and management mechanism;strengthen the training of professionals;improve service accessibility;and create an "O2O" marketing form to optimize the construction of a new public reading space in Changsha.This article aims to be guided by the needs of readers and combined with the actual development of Changsha City,to provide readers with a new reading experience,so that everyone can "get their own place" in the reading space.
