Research Of Medialization Of Space Of Public Cultural Space

With the rise of the trend of "spatial turn" in the academic circle,the significance of"space" as a communication dimension in the field of communication has been gradually explored and reappeared,and the space has gradually changed from a meaningless void container to an active and communicable media.In the perspective of mediatization of sapce,entity space constitutes an important aspect of communication framework,and as a medium,it plays an important role in the development of social significance,the construction of social relations and social interactive behaviors.In recent years,at the same time,with the continuous and steady progress of national economic construction and development of cultural ecology,improving the service and quality of cultural undertakings,promoting cultural industry as a pillar industry of national economy has become a highly concerned topic in the whole country and society.In that sense,based on Edward Soja's theory of "Third Space" and some correlative theories about"Medialization of Space",this thesis focuses on the public cultural space in the context of urban culture,discusses the communication practice of public cultural space as a spatial medium,in order to explore how the medialization of sapce to complete the production and construction of cultural significance of the urban public cultural space,and how to realize the media communication construction and promote the development of urban culture through the communication interaction between physical space and virtual space.As an important part of the public cultural space in the city,historical and cultural blocks possess the character of space,time and culture.This thesis select the well-known historical and cultural blocks in Wuhan as the object of study,that is Tan Hualin.And it mainly combines the methods of field observation and text analysis,based on the theory of "Third Space",from the perspective of medialization of space,complete the investigate of Tan Halin communicative practice about entity sapce,imaginary space and practical sapce.First of all,in terms of entity sapce,from the two aspects of scenarized elements and symbolic elements to inspect the specific image and material properties of the entity space;secondly,focusing on the communication practice of virtual space that constituted by functional mass media,mainly sort out from the newspaper media,new media and we media,to find out how the generated paper space,screen space and palm space shape space imagination and identity.In the end,the research perspective turns to the third space that containing perception,conception and reality,in order to summarize how the spatial and cultural significance produced by the social relations and activities in the space,this thesis investigates the practical forms and relations in the space mainly from three aspects:the localised space,the active space and the practice of space transformation.To sum up,the study found that the historical and cultural block of Tan Hualin has completed the communication practice of mediatization of space,as well as the production of symbolic and cultural meanings from the three dimensions,that are entity space,virtual space and the third space with "other" meaning.In addition,inspect the city's public cultural space from the view of mediatization of space,is a beneficial attempt to the interaction between space and communication,as well it has new enlightening significance for the understanding of public cultural space at the same time,so as to excavate its communication practice and spiritual guidance function as urban cultural symbols,which is has great guided significance for the construction and promotion of urban culture.
