In recent years, research on Marxist view of journalism has become a popular area of academic concern. In order to accurately grasp the research dynamics of Marxist concept of journalism, this study adopts knowledge mapping visualization software such as Citespace and Vosviewer, uses scientific knowledge mapping method and social network analysis method, and takes 2971 Marxist concept of journalism papers included in CSSCI database Using the scientific knowledge mapping method and the social network analysis method,we used 2971 Marxist journalism research papers collected in the CSSCI database as resear ch objects to comprehensively portray the development stages, research hotspots, research frontiers, knowledge bases, scholars and publishing institutions of Marxist journalism research, and construct a knowledge map of Marxist journalism research in China. The three developmental stages of Marxist journalism outlook research were identified through the volume of publications and existing academic results, and the developmental lineage of Marxist journalism outlook research was clarified through keyword co-occurrence,and the study found that Chinese Marxist journalism outlook research presented a practice-oriented research tendency in the early stage, and with the research hotspots in 2016,there was an obvious turnover of Topics related to news and public opinion, media integration, party spirit and people’s spirit continued to heat up,gradually developing toward a research tendency that emphasizes both practice and theory. The co-occurrence analysis of cited journals, key literature, highly productive scholars and researchers reveals the overall environment and soil of research on Marxist view of journalism in China. The study finds that the number of cited journals has steadily increased and the research field has gradually expanded. The number of key literature is low,and there is a lack of literature that can serve as a source of inspiration, without forming a solid research base.Highly productive scholars are dominated by scholars from the 1940 s,1950s and1960 s,with a single and fragile mode of cooperation among scholars, most of whom lack the ability to publish consistently, and there is a Matthew effect in the development of the discipline;research institutions generally exist in an is olated form,no general cooperation among institutions has been formed, and highly productive research institutions are dominated by double-class institutions, with intra-institutional cooperation, and generally located in relatively economically developed The monopoly effect is notable.
