Mainstream media can lead public opinion in front of the audience,thereby generating strong social influence.As an important communicator of information,it can have a direct or indirect impact on public emotions.This study is based on this as the starting point,first collecting relevant information and theoretical learning on emotional communication,understanding the mechanism and principles of emotional communication,as well as its application in journalism and communication.On this basis,this article takes the "Tangshan Hitting Incident" as an example,and takes the reports on the incident and public comments on People’s Daily Weibo as the collection objects.Using the emotional classification methods in psychology and the emotional measurement methods in digital analysis research,it analyzes the reporting patterns of mainstream media and the types of public emotions,and conducts correlation analysis to determine the specific impact of mainstream media on public emotions.On this basis,explore the internal connection between mainstream media’s "emotional setting" and "public comment",in order to provide theoretical basis for the dissemination of major emergencies.Research has found that in the reporting of the "Tangshan Assault" by mainstream media,from the perspective of information dissemination,declarative reporting of facts has a positive impact on triggering negative emotions among the public,reports with videos have a slight positive effect on resolving negative emotions among the public,and reports with guiding text have a significant effect on resolving negative emotions among the public,However,reports with images do not have a significant effect on resolving negative emotions among the public,and may even have a fueling effect.Based on the above analysis and further in-depth research,this study proposes optimization strategies for mainstream media reporting on major emergencies,based on the shortcomings of mainstream media in guiding public emotions.These strategies include the organic combination of fact dissemination and emotional dissemination,strengthening public opinion monitoring and warning,and setting emotions on a cognitive basis.At the same time,mainstream media should also grasp the dominant and proactive power of information dissemination,and conduct in-depth reporting to drain negative emotions.In order to promote the healthy development of public emotions,mainstream media should actively take measures to better grasp the changing patterns of public emotions.Therefore,this article proposes a series of effective emotional oriented communication measures,including avoiding public bias,maintaining a balance in reporting,and establishing an emotional lexicon. |
