A Study On The Propaganda Reports Of Guangxi Daily On Land Reform In Guangxi(1950-1953)

Guangxi Daily,as the organ of the CPC Guangxi Provincial Committee,is an important propaganda tool for the Party to propagate policy guidelines,closely contact the masses and carry out social mobilization.As a newly liberated area,Guangxi urgently needs to consolidate its power and develop production,and it is imperative to carry out Land Reform.Guangxi Daily gave a lot of reports and attention to the Land Reform movement in Guangxi,and was an important platform for the Party to propagate its ideology and ideas and inspire and educate the masses.These news reports guided the Land Reform movement,inspired the class consciousness of peasants,reflected the positive appearance of Guangxi as a newly liberated area,and have high research value.This paper takes the text of Guangxi Daily’s reports on Land Reform in Guangxi as the object of study,analyzes and interprets the content of the reports,tries to summarize the characteristics and laws of the reports and the effectiveness and influence they produced,and then draws out the experience and inspiration of the party newspaper propaganda.This thesis is divided into five main parts as follows:The first part is to explore the necessity and feasibility of Guangxi Daily’s propaganda coverage of Land Reform in Guangxi.In the process of implementing the Land Reform movement,there is an urgent need to promote policies,purge obstacles to Land Reform and do a good job of ideological education.The Party gave clear instructions on the propaganda work of Land Reform and requested the Party newspaper to actively propagate and report on it.With the support of newspaper propaganda network,Guangxi Daily gave a lot of publicity and high attention to the Land Reform.The second part is to sort out in detail the main contents of Guangxi Daily’s propaganda coverage of Land Reform in Guangxi.It popularizes the Party’s policy and creates an atmosphere of Land Reform by combining with current events.As a party newspaper,it must launch propaganda at different stages of Land Reform with the policy guidelines,and summarize and promote the methods and experiences in the process of Land Reform.The third part is to summarize and outline the main forms of Guangxi Daily’s propaganda and coverage of Land Reform in Guangxi.It provides educational guidance through columns,adds interest to propaganda by using mountain songs and pictures,highlights the important significance of Land Reform by using contrasting techniques,and strives to show Guangxi’s Land Reform in all aspects from multiple perspectives.The fourth part is to analyze and summarize the effectiveness and characteristics of Guangxi Daily’s propaganda reports on Land Reform in Guangxi.The relevant reports of Guangxi Daily cover a wide range of contents,with rich and diversified reporting genres and forms,and simple language of reporting style.It has stimulated the enthusiasm of the general public to participate in the Land Reform,promoted the work and facilitated the transformation of rural social life.The fifth part is to draw inspiration from the experience of Guangxi Daily in publicizing and reporting the Land Reform in Guangxi.Adhering to the policy of "the whole party runs the newspaper" and "the masses run the newspaper",guiding the work with actual cases and carrying out criticism and self-criticism are the experiences.From these lessons,we can conclude that party newspapers should adhere to the unity of party spirit and people’s spirit,the content and form of reports should be close to the masses,and the work of public opinion should have a sense of struggle.It can provide some historical inspiration for the creation style and form of party newspapers in the new era and the promotion of the party’s propaganda and public opinion work.
