AS-I(Actuator Sensor-Interface)bus belongs to the underlying device-level bus system, which is widely used in industrial automation field. There is little research on AS-I transceiver in China, and the market of AS-I bus is almost completely monopolized by foreign chip designers. Therefore,in order to further realize the localization of AS-I bus system, this topic designs a transceiver chip conforming to AS-I protocol, and the main work is as follows:(1)Study and analyze the content of AS-I bus protocol, build a PCB board-level AS-I bus system based on discrete devices, and perform functional verification, and use it to determine the functional requirements, overall architecture and design index of the transceiver chip.(2)Determine the circuit structure of key modules such as power module, transmitter module and receiver module, and complete the circuit design of each module based on SMIC 0.18μm process.Pre-simulation verification, layout drawing and post-simulation verification are performed for each module as well as the overall circuit. In the simulation results of AS-I transceiver chip, the communication rate is166.67kbit/s,the transmitter module transmits current amplitude of 63.62 m A,and the sinusoidal square voltage pulse has a peak variation range of 32.29 V to 32.43 V and a trough variation range of 27.33 V to 28.11 V,The power consumption of the transmitter module for signal transmission is 1.19 m W,the power consumption of the receiver module for signal demodulation is 32.22 μW,and the power consumption of the power supply module is 144.79 μW.The simulation results show that the design of this paper meets the requirements of AS-I bus protocol and completely implements the whole process of signal transmission and reception. The research work of this paper lays the foundation for the localization of AS-I bus transceiver chip.
