| In an era marked by rapid advances in automation and artificial intelligence,demand for chips has surged in all walks of life,while chip shortage has been deteriorated since the outbreak of COVID-19.Chip shortage ran into a much worse situation than it’s ever been,the worst-case scenario is that pricing of raw materials continuously to be rising.Under the circumstances,resolving the contradiction between chip supply and the demand increase is becoming critical for TLT,in which Procurement plays a key role to guarantee stable source,continuous supply and competitive prices.Hence,achieving more efficiency in procurement and supplier management is one of the best options for TLT to enhance their competitiveness in a long haul.The thesis analyzes the main weaknesses in supplier management of TLT based on combining the industrial specificities,competitive environment,and its own structure of supply chain,such as the deficiency of supplier evaluation system,plus the loophole of supplier cost management,as well as the short of the informational system.Consequently,brings along targeted proposals like utilizing Kraljic Matrix to classify the miscellaneous procurement projects,after that applying Analytic Hierarchy Process to establish supplier selection systems;importing Targeting Cost method to regulate and optimize supplier cost management.Furthermore,introducing GGR color theory to ameliorate demand forecast accuracy of finished goods,thereby achieving cost reduction;The implementation of IT project specifically for procurement helps fixing the problem of information asymmetry between TLT and suppliers.Ultimately to enhance the core competence and generate greater value for the business of TLT. |
