| The Paleolithic Site Museum is a type of site museum that relies on the Paleolithic archaeological site to protect the site, study the culture of the site, collect and display the unearthed remains of the site, and display the physical evolution of ancient humans, the appearance of Paleolithic culture, and prehistoric features.Compared with other types of museums, the Museum of Paleolithic Sites has the advantages of in-situ protection and display,as well as the characteristics of creating an original cultural habitat. On the basis of comprehensively interpreting the appearance of Paleolithic culture,it helps to shape regional cultural identity. However, the Museum of Paleolithic Sites is more homogeneous in terms of exhibit types than museums of other periods, with its exhibits mainly consisting of beaten stone tools, animal fossils, ancient human fossils, bone and horn tools, and some artistic carvings, which are relatively less artistic and colorful, and due to the nature of the exhibits, the interpretation of the exhibits in the Museum of Paleolithic Sites is relatively more obscure.Based on the above situation, the visualization of the cultural connotation of the exhibits, the integration of cultural information and the popularization of the display content have become problems that the Museum of Paleolithic Sites needs to solve. This paper mainly adopts field research method and questionnaire method to visit four Paleolithic site museums, namely Wanshouyan Site Museum,Zhoukoudian Site Museum,Shuidonggou Site Museum and The Wangfujing Paleolithic Museum,to fully understand the current situation of the display and exhibition of each Paleolithic site museum, and conduct audience questionnaire survey for each of the two Paleolithic site museums, and focus on the analysis of various In order to reflect on the demand of the Paleolithic museums from the viewpoint of the audience,we conducted a questionnaire survey for each of the two Paleolithic museums and analyzed the learning paths and exhibit preferences of the audience in the process of visiting the museums. At the same time,a brief analysis and summary of the display situation of important Paleolithic museums in Europe is presented, and the current display situation of Paleolithic museums in China and Europe is compared and analyzed, and the statistical analysis results of the audience survey are combined to propose specific measures for the optimization of the display design of Paleolithic museums in China. The full text is divided into four parts. The first part is the introduction, including the definition of relevant concepts, the introduction of the four Chinese Paleolithic museums, the current situation of the research and the research method;the first chapter is the exhibition status of the four Chinese Paleolithic museums, which describes the display design of the four Paleolithic museums respectively;the second chapter is the European Paleolithic museums, including a brief introduction of the Paleolithic culture in the European region and the major Paleolithic museums in the European region.Chapter 3 is the analysis of the display design of Chinese paleolithic museums, including the statistics and analysis of the audience questionnaires of two paleolithic museums, the comparative analysis of the display design of domestic and foreign paleolithic museums, and the measures to optimize the display design of paleolithic museums. In the Museum of Paleolithic Sites, the physical exhibits with stone products and animal fossils as the main body are the focus of the exhibition, but for the audience, the display of unearthed stone products generally has the problem of weak popularity and readability. In this regard, the display design of physical exhibits should start from the general knowledge of the audience, display stone products, animal fossils and other cultural relics in the "past" and "present"situations, restoring their functions in "past" scenarios and retracing their evolution and development in "present" situations.Secondly,we should rationally use various auxiliary means and exhibition items to fully mobilize the audience’s sight, hearing, touch and even smell, and guide the audience to actively participate in the display. |
