With the increasingly obvious trend of economic globalization and significant changes in the external environment,focusing solely on production,sales,and research and development is no longer sufficient for manufacturing enterprises to maintain competitiveness.The status of concepts such as inventory management,working capital management,and cost control in manufacturing enterprises has significantly improved.Cooperation and gaming between upstream and downstream supply chains are also becoming increasingly important for the development of manufacturing enterprises.Therefore,managers of manufacturing enterprises should have a global strategic perspective and improve inventory management from the perspective of supply chain management,in order to reduce operating costs and enhance competitive advantages.This article defines the three main concepts of supply chain management,inventory management,and inventory management based on the supply chain perspective,elaborates on four theoretical tools:information asymmetry theory,cooperative sharing principle,collaboration theory,and lean management theory.It sorts out and analyzes relevant literature on supply chain management and inventory management,providing a solid theoretical foundation for this study.Based on relevant literature on supply chain management,the article summarizes five research directions:supply chain strategy application,supply chain model system,inventory management and cost control,cooperation and strategic alliance,blockchain and intelligence.Based on relevant literature on inventory management,the article summarizes two key directions:the establishment and research of supply chain inventory management models,and inventory management optimization.Based on the cross research results of inventory management and supply chain management related fields mentioned above,this article studies the inventory management optimization strategies of emerging manufacturing enterprises from the perspective of supply chain management,to some extent supplementing the research on inventory management optimization from the perspective of domestic supply chain.This article innovatively selects supply chain management as the research perspective,with semiconductor manufacturing enterprise D Group as the research object,and uses case study method to optimize inventory management.Through the research on the basic situation,industry environment,strategic capability,supply chain and inventory management status of Group D,it is found that the Group currently has such problems as prominent "bullwhip effect",high inventory cost,low supply chain synergy,asymmetric information in external supply chain and conflict of internal supply chain inventory management objectives.Based on data analysis,it is found that the supply chain management has low informatization level,low customer service level Factors such as weak management and cooperation awareness among suppliers,weak supply chain collaboration among employees,and a lack of inventory management positions in the supply chain.Based on the current situation,existing problems,and incentive analysis of the case,this article designs an inventory management optimization system for D Group,in order to achieve the following optimization goals:(1)To achieve supply chain inventory collaborative management,an intelligent supply chain collaborative platform is used to integrate inventory management into various links inside and outside the enterprise,strengthen communication and exchange between upstream,downstream,internal and external relationships of the supply chain,and fully share information inside and outside the group.(2)By jointly developing supply and demand forecasting and MRP inventory control mechanisms,comprehensively analyzing data at all levels that affect supply and demand balance,conducting demand planning,forecasting,and replenishment communication,and helping enterprises adjust their inventory structure.(3)Through ABC material management and economic batch order management,the material structure of enterprises can be distinguished between primary and secondary,and the economic batch with the lowest shortage cost and holding cost can be found,thereby increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of material management and reducing inventory management costs.(4)Optimize the order delivery process,increase inventory warning process,and comprehensively improve delivery level,inventory control,and customer satisfaction through visual tracking windows and more reasonable order delivery process.For the implementation of D Group’s inventory management optimization system,establish an optimization strategy guarantee mechanism,prepare for the implementation of the optimization strategy in the early stage,develop a reasonable inventory management system implementation plan,deploy the implementation plan in three stages,improve the management system,publicity and training matters,cooperate in the development of a supply chain collaboration platform,and implement guarantee mechanisms in organizational,cultural,talent,technical,financial,and other aspects,Enable the smooth implementation of the inventory management optimization system within the group.Finally,based on the entire case,the following inspiration can be drawn:With the development of the global value chain division of labor model,the future of trade development will shift from between countries to between industries and products,and enterprises are no longer ordinary competition or cooperation.Therefore,collaborative cooperation in the supply chain will undoubtedly be a trend.This article studies inventory management issues from the perspective of supply chain management,breaking through traditional inventory management models,enabling enterprises to obtain more effective optimization strategies for inventory management from a new perspective,and providing reference suggestions for inventory management applications.
