In the era of integrated media,with the continuous updating of communication technology,the publishing industry is experiencing profound changes brought about by media convergence,which has deeply affected its competitive foundation,competitive methods,and market structure.The advancement of digital communication technology has changed the way knowledge is produced and disseminated,and people no longer rely on printed books for reading and learning.At the same time,the rapid development of emerging media such as mobile phones and the Internet has changed the copyright ecosystem,making publishing activities no longer limited to the exclusive domain of traditional publishing companies.The overall industry structure of traditional paper-based media,such as newspapers,magazines,and books,has been declining year by year.This means that the traditional publishing industry is facing industry decline,and therefore,how to adapt to environmental changes has become a major issue for publishing companies to sustain their development.This article explores the three questions of "why the publishing industry needs to transform," "what transformation challenges it faces," and "what transformation paths can be effective." It aims to analyze what transformation paths publishing companies can take to improve their competitive advantages in the changing environment of integrated media and to obtain effective transformation paths through analyzing typical companies.Combining with the "environment-ability-performance"interactive influence model,the article proposes transformation suggestions for editors and hopes to provide reference value for relevant publishing units.Through research,the following conclusions are drawn:Under the influence of the development of integrated media,the general environment of editing and publishing has changed,promoting and guiding media to deepen integration,and publishing integration and development has become a trend.Through case studies,effective transformation paths include:optimizing resource integration to achieve high-quality development of editing and publishing,transforming the editing and publishing team through improving talent training mechanisms,transforming product forms by building learning platforms that support books,and transforming market marketing by cultivating new media platforms.Based on case studies and the"environment-ability-performance" interactive influence model,the transformation path suggestions proposed:using big data to accurately position book topics,promoting industry-university collaboration to cultivate comprehensive talents,utilizing new technologies to enrich book presentation forms,and integrating new media to strengthen the diversification of book market marketing.
