| With the popularity of the Internet,social media has not only become the main channel for people to obtain information,but also has an increasingly close relationship with global information dissemination and the promotion of international discourse power.It has become an important tool for countries to guide public opinion,construct sovereignty in cyberspace and compete for discourse power in international communication.Under the background of western mainstream media,such as BBC and CNN,which surround and intercept China and spare no effort to spread rumors and slander,we may find another way to spread the true face of China to the world with the help of social media.This essay uses big data analysis and onLine survey methods on international social media,focusing on the "One Belt,One Road" and RCEP countries and regions,and using two traffic ranking websites,alexa.com and similiarweb.com,as data sources between October 2021 and March 2022.com as the data sources.52 sets of social media website data were counted on alexa.com,which were compared and supplemented with 28 sets of data obtained from similiarweb.com.Forty-three sets of data from the Google App Store and 57 sets of data from the Apple App Store were also counted.The study found that one belt,one road,and RCEP countries had the following characteristics:Us social media products dominate the market,while products from other countries are in a weak position.At the same time the influence of Chinese and Russian social media is increasing.There are many reasons behind the above phenomena.First,one belt,one road and RCEP countries are mostly developing countries.With the development of global digital economy,the digital divide between developed countries and developing countries is growing.Second,the unequally discourse power in international environment.The western developed countries dominate the pattern of global public opinion.Third,TikTok achieved international breakthrough with excellent marketing strategy.This pattern of social media has brought challenges to the internationalization of China’s social media.On the one hand,due to the rich user resources,China’s surrounding countries have increasingly become the focus of the game of great powers.On the other hand,TikTok’s international development has been suppressed by many countries led by the United States.At the same time,the United States has further launched a public opinion offensive against China.Some remarks that tarnish China’s image have caused misunderstandings about China by countries along the Line,and the road of internationalization of China’s social media is full of difficulties.In this context,this paper puts forward the communication strategies of China’s social media Internationalization:first,advocate the establishment of a fair and reasonable international communication order;the second is to continue to promote the construction of the "Digital Belt and Road";the third is to use TikTok as a bridge for my country’s international communication to create an atmosphere of friendly exchanges between internal and external linkages. |
