The Belt and Road Initiative inherits the cultural context of the ancient Silk Road and conforms to the contemporary theme of peace and development.Since it was proposed in2013,it has achieved world-renowned achievements in just seven years,and has been widely recognized and enthusiastically participated by the domestic people and the international community.Based on the theoretical basis of Six Degrees of Separation,user groups have built a complex network of relationships on an open and shared new media platform,and new media has become an important platform for information dissemination along the Belt and Road Initiative.This eaasy uses social network analysis and comparative analysis,and establishes a relationship network based on the following behaviors of users on Micro Blog and TikTok platforms.What's more,the essay explores the characteristics of the communication network structure of the Belt and Road Initiative on the new media platform,the closeness of the nodes in the network and the relationship attributes of each node from the macro,meso,and micro dimensions.The macro-level research mainly explores the overall network structure characteristics of the Belt and Road on Micro Blog and TikTok platforms through network density,distance,and clustering index.At the meso level,the sub-structure characteristics of the network and the node characteristics of the core area and the edge area are determined mainly through the analysis of cohesive subgroups and the Core-Periphery structure.At the micro level,it measures the attributes and location structure of nodes in the Belt and Road communication network from degree centralization,betweenness centralization,and closeness centralization to dentify opinion leaders,thereby drawing a picture of the Belt and Road new media communication network.The communication network characteristics of the Belt and Road Initiative on the new media platform are mainly reflected in the loose and low cohesion of the overall network structure,and the single opinion leader in the network structure and mostly relying on mainstream media for information transmission.Through the horizontal comparison of the network communication of the two new media platforms,it is found that the connections between the nodes on the Micro Blog platform are stronger than those on the TikTok platform,and the information dissemination channels are smoother.There are a large number of small groups on the Micro Blog platform,and the types of core nodes are diversified,which is significantly different from edge nodes,and the communication network is more complicated.However,the positions of the nodes on the TikTok platform are relatively even,and local media accounts have risen.Therefore,the Belt and Road Initiative should adapt to the situation and take into account different platforms in the process of building new media platforms to create a new media communication matrix.When disseminating information,we should not rely solely on mainstream media,but also give full play to the role of the main body at all levels in the network structure,strengthen the degree of communication and interaction between nodes,drive a large number of scattered edge users to play a long tail effect,and open up the Belt and Road information transmission network.The endogenous driving force of the Belt and Road comes from the local area.Local media should focus on hot topics and give full play to their advantages as messaging messengers.At the same time,they must also pay attention to the positive guidance of opinion leaders to jointly promote the spread of information about the Belt and Road.
