| Ningbo Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China convened a meeting which called the Fifth Plenary Session of the 12th.The meeting adopted the Decision of the Ningbo Municipal Committee is Going to Accelerating the Development of Ecological Civilization and Building a Beautiful Ningbo.From then on,Ningbo has always attached great importance on environmental issues.The work of developing ecological civilization and building a beautiful Ningbo requires the joint efforts of the Ningbo government,enterprises,social organizations,citizens and other parties.As the official newspaper of the Ningbo Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China,Ningbo Daily adheres to the correct orientation of public opinion,reflects the characteristics of the times,pays attention to improve the guidance,serviceability and readability of news,and strives to be close to the masses and reality.It is based in Ningbo and reflects recent major news at home and abroad.Ningbo Daily plays an important role in conveying the policies of the Ningbo Party Committee and government.The CPC and the government attach great importance to environmental issues.At the same time,environmental issues belong to the category of public affairs.Therefore,Ningbo Daily has the responsibility to monitor and communicate environmental risks,disseminate environmental knowledge,promote the construction of social identity,and change the public’s environmental cognition,mobilize all sectors of society to actively participate in environmental protection work through the media’s agenda setting function.Author Selected 845 reports on environmental issues in Ningbo Daily from October 18,2017 to October 18,2021,and analyzed the basic situation and characteristics of environmental communication from the perspective of types of news,report form,the amount of news,layout,ease for emotion,issues,relevant subject in Ningbo Daily.The study found that the Environmental Report of Ningbo Daily,which in the name of people emphasizes balanced development in the reporting topics and is more concerned about the“city’s appearance”issue.No reports on the issue of“nuclear radiation contamination and prevention”.In addition,to some extent,the environmental report of Ningbo Daily was affected by typhoon and environmental theme day.In terms of news style and length,the environmental reports of Ningbo Daily mainly focus on short messages.As for the emotional slant of news reporting,the environmental report of Ningbo Daily is mainly positive.From the perspective of relevant subjects and performance,Ningbo Daily environmental reports mainly focus on government policies and measures,presenting the image of diligent government.Based on the case analysis of garbage classification issues,it is found that the fluctuation of garbage classification reports is affected by the promulgation and implementation of relevant policies and regulations,the types of news is mainly short messages,and the relevant subjects and manifestations are mainly government policies and measures.In the form of reports are used in the form of graphic reports.The study found that the environmental communication of Ningbo Daily has the following characteristics:first,it is driven by specific events;second,environmental news contains humanistic care;last,there is dark green news and light green news.The study found that the environmental communication of Ningbo Daily has the following problems:first,the lack of in-depth reports and long-term reports;second,the readability and legibility needs to be improved;third,Guidance of the government and the weak voice of experts and the public;fourth,the ability to set agenda needs to be improved.This thesis puts forward the following suggestions to improve the environmental communication of Ningbo Daily:first,increase in-depth reports and long-term reports;second,improve the readability of news;third,strengthen the involvement of experts and public opinion,fourth,improve the agenda setting ability and serve the environment monitoring function. |
