| Stimulated by national policy and market demand,theme-based publishing,as a national publishing priority,has burst into strong development in recent years,with remarkable achievements in both publishing practice and theoretical research.With the expanding understanding of the connotation and extension of theme publishing,children’s theme publishing,local theme publishing,integrated theme publishing,and theme publishing "going out" have become hot spots of academic circles.Since children are different from adults in terms of cognitive level and reading habits,research on children’s thematic publishing targeting children and adolescents is helpful to the education and growth of young people,the transmission of socialist core values and the cultivation of cultural confidence.At the same time,research and analysis on the concept,current situation and operation planning rules of children’s thematic publishing can deepen the theoretical system of thematic publishing and contribute to the development of publishing theory with Chinese characteristics.As theme publishing for children is derived from theme publishing,the theoretical research is conducted to review theme publishing and children’s theme publishing respectively,and to build a research framework based on the research results of both parties.Then,we adopted product thinking to statistically analyze the children’s theme publishing publications selected in the catalog of key publications of theme publishing in China in the past five years,and found that the current situation of children’s theme publishing in China shows that the product scale is expanding in fluctuation,the product structure is diversifying,the product form is enriching,and the composition of product production main body is gradually diversified.Based on the detailed analysis of the results of the questionnaire survey,we find the problems faced by the development of children’s thematic publishing in China,which are inadequate in the degree of conformity between publication planning and readers’ needs,inadequate promotion of publications,and relatively single form of publication operation.Finally,we propose development strategies for children’s thematic publishing in China from several aspects,including innovative topic selection thinking,refining graded reading,enhancing political awareness,increasing publicity,strengthening promotion and marketing targeting,seizing hot events to take advantage of publicity and promotion,extending the publication industry chain,raising awareness of copyright incubation,and strengthening talent reserve and cross-field cooperation,hoping that children’s thematic publishing in China can overcome the problems and achieve further development in the future.It is hoped that children’s theme publishing in China can overcome the problems and achieve further development. |
