Investigation Research On The Current Situation And Strategy Of Ideological And Political Information Resources In Libraries Of Higher Vocational Colleges Under The "Double High Plan"

With the development of China,entering a new round of industrial upgrading,society’s demand for technical and skilled talents is growing.Therefore,in 2019,Chinese government issued the national vocational education reform plan,which proposed to carry out the construction plan in which high qualified vocational colleges and majors with Chinese characteristics are expected to be developed in vocational colleges and application-oriented higher education schools.(hereinafter referred to as the "Double High Plan").In May 2020,the Ministry of education formally announced to print and distribute the Guideline for Ideological and Political Construction in Courses in Colleges and universities(HE [2020] No.3),declaring that it is necessary to integrate value shaping and knowledge imparting as well skills developing into an organic whole considering to fulfillment of fundamental task of Building Morality and Fostering Talents.Ideological and political education is the premise to improve the quality of vocational education while the construction of Library ideological and political information resources plays a vital supporting and guaranteeing role in vocational education and ideological and political education.Under the background of vocational education reform and ideological and political curriculum innovative reform,this research takes 56 higher vocational colleges which undertake the "Double High Plan" as the major subjects,and the basic data-such as the number of employees and annual expenditures,are extracted from the university library database of the Ministry of education.Through the method of network investigation,the investigation has been conducted,dealing with the construction of Ideological and political columns,the construction of Ideological and political databases,the construction of featured databases and the current situation of ideological and political reading promotional activities in 56 higher vocational college libraries.The result displayed the following problems,that is,the weak construction of Ideological and political columns,the imperfect introduction of Ideological and political databases,and the unbalanced distribution of resources purchasing funds.Therefore after that,the research puts forward targeted strategies and suggestions:First,pay more attention in talent introduction and training,and improve the subject librarian system in ideological and political education;Second,according to the development needs of higher vocational students,adjust the proportion of databases,and allot more funds to the construction of Ideological and political databases and their own exclusive databases;The third is to improve the construction of Ideological and political columns in the library and ensure the ideological and political information resources and material resources available;Fourth,perfect the construction of the library’s ideological and political database,and implement conscientiously in sharing and co construction;Fifth,attach importance to the construction of its own characteristic database,integrate the professional characteristics and spiritual culture of colleges and universities,and improve the quality of spiritual and cultural resources;Sixth,the online and offline reading promotion mode cooperates with ideological and political teaching to form a linkage mechanism.
