Children,as the future of the country and the hope of families,rely on community growth and development.As a complex micro social system,community is related to the future development of children.Therefore,creating a child friendly community has become an urgent task in China.Today,China has entered a new era,with an increasingly sound social governance system,and people’s higher demands for life.The involvement of social work professionals has accordingly become a convenient way for communities to carry out public services and activities."Taking children as the foundation" to provide corresponding services and protect the basic rights and interests of children is the current trend of international environmental development.Many cities in China are also vigorously promoting the concept of child friendliness,adapting measures to local conditions,and have successively introduced local policies suitable for the creation of their own regions.Although China attaches great importance to and looks forward to the future development of child friendly communities,it is regrettable that China has not yet formed an internationally recognized child friendly community,and most of China is still in the initial innovative mode and is still in the initial stage.Taking the K community in Shenzhen City as a research case,this paper uses participatory observation and semi structured interview methods to collect data,analyze the current situation and needs of K community,adopt community social work methods,carry out targeted community building plans,and draw on the experience of child friendly community building in developed countries and regions to comb the practical results of child friendly community building in major cities at home and abroad,Summarize the path for social workers to participate in community building,and provide explanations,explanations,and case studies around the three dimensions of space,system,and service.The survey results show that due to the differences in the concept of multiple subjects,the lack of multiple linkage mechanisms,and the oppression of children’s internal and external environment,K community presents a situation of insufficient integration of social resources,simplification of social participation,absence of residents,and a trend towards formalization of community organization activities.There are demands for building a child friendly community in K community at the security,development,and community participation levels.Therefore,this study conducts specific practical interventions around this resident to promote the quality of the community environment,improve living conditions,and carry out "space friendly construction" of micro transformation of the home environment;To build a "system friendly" environment for children’s councils in order to enhance the participation and identity of community residents;The "service friendly" construction carried out to establish a good social interaction environment for children.Through the practical work of social work in K community,which is spatially friendly,institutionally friendly,and service-oriented,children’s awareness of participation has been stimulated,their living space has been improved,and community collaboration has been consolidated.Finally,summarize and reflect on the research.On the one hand,it is necessary to timely adjust and transform the perspective of social work participation in community building,so as to achieve long-term progress;On the other hand,it is necessary to summarize and refine the practice of social work participation in community governance in a timely manner.
