With the acceleration of urbanization,China has a large number of non local registered residence migrants,among whom migrant children have become a huge group,but their equal development is deeply hindered.It is particularly urgent to provide a comfortable and healthy growth environment for migrant children,improve their well-being,and achieve sustainable social development.The construction of children friendly cities in China started relatively late,and the policy system and normative standards for children are still being improved.Community building is an important carrier for implementing urban development planning,and professional social work organizations are an important force in exploring and implementing the creation of children friendly communities.This study is guided by the regional development model and empowerment theory,and uses professional social work methods to carry out research on building a child-friendly community.Taking the Y floating population community in Guangzhou as the research object,the author collected community data through participatory observation,questionnaire survey,and interview methods,and found the current situation of child friendliness in Y community,such as backward community environment,single family education content,lack of community education resources,and insufficient concept of child participation;Summarize the needs for creating community Y,such as improving the community environment,establishing community support networks,enhancing community education,and enhancing the awareness of friendly communities.In response to community building needs,social workers develop community building project goals,design community building project plans,and improve the child friendliness of the community through four dimensions.At the institutional level,child-friendly working groups have been established and a children’s deliberative system has been implemented.At the spatial level,create "Hejia" and "children’s enjoyment" indoor and outdoor public spaces.At the service level,improve supportive and developmental services.At the cultural level,stimulate community vitality and cultivate children’s awareness of participation;Mobilize community backbone and carry out community publicity and education.Overall,community building has achieved good results,enhancing the enthusiasm of children to participate,increasing the space for child-friendly activities,providing diversified community education,and achieving the expected goals.Finally,through reviewing and reflecting on the process of building Y community,this study summarizes experience and puts forward suggestions: carry out diversified community activities,broaden funding channels for community education,and strengthen the support of social work teams. |
