The Application Of Group Work In The Construction Of An Elderly-friendly Community

The aging of population is becoming a problem that must be paying attention to in our country.With the introduction of relevant home-based care policies in our country,some regions have also carried out community home-based cares for the elderly and achieved positive results.Recently,Yangzhou,as a city with the most aging population in our country,has put some relevant home-based care policies into practice.Meanwhile,with the support of the government,many social work agencies have implemented a number of frutful philanthropy innovative projects.Group work is an intervention method that many social work organizations are willing to take.The effect remains to be further improved.It is very necessary to conduct research on the application of group work in the construction of elder-friendly communities by using methods such as literature,field and action research.This topic mainly rely on a project named" comfort zone--a philanthropy innovative project in the construction of the elder-friendly community" and adopt the method of intervention of group work to service objects,in order to promote the efficiency and specialization of the construction of elder-friendly communities and alleviate the increasingly serious problems of population aging in our country.Meanwhile,it will be provided references for other provinces and cities in the construction of elder-friendly communities.The contents of this paper mainly include "introduction","the basis of the group work involved in the construction of the elder-friendly communities","the intervention of group work to the construction of the elder-friendly communities","the evaluation of intervention of group work to the construction of the elder-friendly communities" and "conclusion".The first chapter is the "introduction",which includes the background,literature review,concept identification,significance,the methods of research and so on.The second chapter is "the basis of the group work involved in the construction of the elder-friendly communities",including the introduction of organizations which undertook the project,the construction of W-community and elder-friendly communities,the theoretical basis for the design of the project,the implementation plan,and the expected effects.Based on actual investigation,the author identified the target of the service and developed a specific plan.The third chapter is "the intervention of group work to the construction of the elder-friendly communities",including the goals,the roles of social workers,recruitment of group members and the intervention in the activities of group work.This section discusses the specific interventions of the previous group activities in detail and the results obtained.The fourth chapter is "the evaluation of intervention of group work to the construction of the elder-friendly communities",including self-evaluation of social worker,self-assessment of group and observer's evaluation.The assessments of three parts make the whole group work more reasonable and complete.The fifth chapter is "conclusion".This section mainly summarizes and points out inadequacies.Through this study,social workers used the method of group work to promote the construction of elder-friendly communities,solved the problems of group members successfully and achieved the expected results.And they hope extending the advantages of this group work to a wider range.
