Kindergarten curriculum is the core of kindergarten education and a vehicle for promoting the overall development of children.Each kindergarten has its unique developmental reality and needs,and developing its own curriculum based on national and local policy requirements is an inevitable choice for kindergarten curriculum construction.The development of kindergarten-based curriculum can fully consider the developmental characteristics and needs of young children,motivate teachers to participate in curriculum research,create a unique kindergarten curriculum culture,and is important for improving the quality of kindergarten curriculum.The development of the times has placed higher demands on the quality of early childhood education,and the kindergarten curriculum needs to be constantly updated.In the era of high-quality development of preschool education,it is crucial to improve the quality of early childhood education by studying the current situation of kindergarten-based curriculum development and exploring the focus and concerns for improving the quality of kindergarten-based curriculum development.This study investigates the current situation of kindergarten-based curriculum development in 30 kindergartens,including the main subjects of kindergarten-based curriculum development,the development process,problems and experiences,etc.Based on the overall grasp of the current situation of kindergarten-based curriculum development,the study selects a high-quality kindergarten-based curriculum with the theme of "creation education" as the main theme,and integrates the factors of long history of kindergarten-based curriculum development,more mature curriculum programs,and relatively high level of kindergarten-based curriculum development.The entire development process has gone through three stages: the establishment of the theme,the full development of the curriculum,and the normalization of the curriculum development.The current situation of curriculum development was investigated: the main subject of curriculum development is the kindergarten as the base,mobilizing multiple forces;the process of curriculum development is teacher-oriented,advocating active participation;the process of curriculum development is based on the development of children,making dynamic curriculum decisions;the management of curriculum development is guaranteed by the system organization,regulating the development process.Through the study,we found that the process contains many valuable development experiences: the interactive resonance between subject research and practical exploration;the organization as a carrier to create a participatory and shared development atmosphere;relying on garden-based teaching and research to promote the connotative development of the curriculum;and the use of games as the basic activity to enhance the openness of the curriculum.However,there are also some problems: first,teachers’ curriculum development literacy and the curriculum leadership of the director need to be improved;second,the continuity and effectiveness of expert guidance needs to be strengthened;finally,kindergartens are underfunded,and the tripartite support from families,communities and education management departments is insufficient.The reasons for this are: first,the lack of content related to kindergarten-based curriculum development in teacher training;second,the separation of theory and practice in kindergarten-based curriculum development;and finally,the lack of dissemination of kindergarten-based curriculum policy and creative education concepts.Based on the above findings,this study proposes a strategy to improve the curriculum development of S kindergarten’s creative education: firstly,to promote the endogenous development of teachers through the combination of research and training,and to enhance the curriculum development literacy of teachers and the curriculum leadership of the director through a clear responsibility to bring into play the curriculum leadership of the director;secondly,experts are used as a link to build "school-garden" cooperation,and cooperation is sought to create a community for garden-based curriculum development by strengthening the linkage of schools and communicating inter-garden cooperation;finally,through the education administration’s provision of rights and financial support,the kindergarten’s development of a practical incentive mechanism,and the family and community’s provision of diverse human resources,the kindergarten-based curriculum is supported. |
