The Chemistry teaching materials is an important carrier in chemistry knowledge and plays an irreplaceable role in the teaching process.STEAM,the acronym of Science,Technology,Engineering,Arts and Mathematics,is an education model for comprehensive talents originating from the United States. Therefore,it is of great significance to analyze chemistry teaching materials based on the STEAM education concept.Based on this concept, this study uses the G.ST∑@M pyramid framework theory and the textbook content to formulate the analysis scale, and analyzes the knowledge points of the two compulsory high school chemistry textbooks of 2019 Luke Edition.According to the analysis results, the teaching design ideas are put forward to provide some reference for the teaching based on STEAM education concept in middle schools. This study consists of five parts, and the specific works are as follows:Chapter 1: Introduce the research background of STEAM education, and determine the content, ideas and research methods of this research.Chapter 2: Define the relevant core concepts of this study and introduce relevant theories.Chapter 3: Through interviews and questionnaires,front-line teachers are interviewed and surveyed to know the understanding and application of STEAM among chemistry teachers.A questionnaire survey is conducted among senior high school students to understand their views on chemistry teaching and the application of chemistry knowledge.Through the survey results,we can understand the current situation of STEAM concept applied in high school teaching, and analyze the knowledge points of teaching materials to guide the direction.Chapter 4: By using the analysis scale formulated by the pyramid framework theory of the G.ST∑@M pyramid framework theory, the knowledge points of the textbook are classified and analyzed statistically, including the distribution of knowledge points in STEAM meta-disciplines and specific courses under each meta-discipline.The distribution of knowledge points of textbook content in each chapter in the STEAM meta-discipline.Then,combined with the survey results of teaching status in the third part, some textbook contents are selected as examples to conduct genre analysis from the categories of STEAM meta-disciplines involved in the text content and column content. The system of textbooks is analyzed from the logical structure of textbook content and the integration degree of textbook knowledge content in STEAM five meta-disciplines.Chapter 5: Conclusion and prospect are summarized at last.Through the research and analysis based on the STEAM concept,it is found that:(1)the knowledge points of the Luke Edition of senior high school chemistry textbooks are mainly scientific knowledge, covering the knowledge fields of five meta-disciplines;(2)Due to the different emphases of chapter knowledge content, the coverage of chapter knowledge content in the five fields is not balanced;(3)From the perspective of text content and column content, the integration degree of the textbook knowledge on STEAM is analyzed, and it is found that the integration degree of the textbook knowledge content is high in the five meta-disciplines;(4)By analyzing the logical structure of the textbook content,it is found that the degree of integration of the textbook knowledge is spiraling upward, which is in line with the sequence of students’ cognitive development.(5)Based on the results of practice survey and textbook analysis, the teaching inspiration based on STEAM education concept is proposed and teaching cases are designed. Finally, the shortcomings of the research are analyzed, and the future thinking and prospect of related research are put forward.
