In the "Art Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education"(2022 Edition),the curriculum concept of "adhering to aesthetic education,emphasizing artistic experience,and emphasizing curriculum integration" focuses on improving students’ aesthetic perception,strengthening their artistic expression,emphasizing students’ participation in artistic practice,enriching cultural understanding,and promoting their comprehensive development.Primary school music appreciation class is one of the important courses in primary school music classes,which is a comprehensive music teaching.It is of great significance for promoting students’ comprehensive development,and the appreciation of ethnic music is also essential in primary school music appreciation classes.Learning ethnic music can cultivate students’ national consciousness,enhance national confidence,and promote the inheritance and development of traditional ethnic music culture.This article explores the application of ethnic music in primary school music appreciation classes for teaching practice.Firstly,it analyzes the textbooks,provides a specific overview of music appreciation classes and ethnic music,as well as their positive significance in primary school music courses.Through questionnaire surveys and interviews,students’ learning situation,level of love,current problems,and solutions to ethnic music are learned.After summarizing and analyzing the above content,For the teaching practice of ethnic music appreciation,this study selected the fourth unit of the third grade music textbook of the People’s Education Press for the teaching practice research of the folk music ensemble "Zizhu Diao"."Zizhu Diao" is one of the representative works of traditional Chinese ethnic music "Jiangnan Silk and Bamboo",with lively and smooth melodies and catchy melodies,depicting the hard work and simple and unadorned life scenes of the people in Jiangnan,Possessing the unique charm of traditional Chinese music.This article will explore the following aspects:Firstly,there is an introduction,which mainly elaborates on the research background,current research status,and significance;The first chapter provides an overview of primary school music textbooks and music appreciation courses,discussing their content and significance;The second chapter is a survey of the teaching situation of ethnic music appreciation in primary schools,mainly using student questionnaire survey and teacher interview methods to summarize and analyze the teaching situation of ethnic music,students’ understanding and liking,and teachers’ suggestions;The third chapter conducts teaching practice research through the summary and analysis of textbooks,learning situations,surveys,etc.The fourth chapter provides some insights on how to improve the effectiveness of primary school ethnic music appreciation teaching.The article concludes with a summary of this study.This article aims to provide some new ideas for the teaching of ethnic music appreciation in primary schools through investigation,summary,and analysis,combined with my own teaching practice.It aims to enable students to truly love ethnic music,gain a good music experience,enhance music aesthetics,enrich cultural understanding,cultivate national awareness,enhance national confidence and pride,and promote the inheritance and development of ethnic music.
