The integration of general education and vocational education is the mutual integration of general education and vocational education,which includes credit mutual recognition,student transfer,school school cooperation,and curriculum infiltration.Its ultimate goal is to provide students with comprehensive education,delay diversion,and enable them to choose the most suitable learning method according to their actual situation at different learning stages.Popularizing high school education is an important decision for the development of education in China.In this context,the integration of general education and vocational education is a social development demand for popularizing high school education in China,and also an inherent demand for the comprehensive development of individuals receiving education.As an important part of the current high school education reform and development in China,research on issues related to the integration of general and vocational education has also become a hot topic in the education industry.However,scholars at this stage mainly focus on individual pilot cases for the practical mode of general and vocational integration,lacking in-depth and extensive investigation and research on the current situation.The development status of the integration of general vocational education is a gradual process,and the cultivation of talents is a complete and systematic process.This study adopts research methods such as literature review,case study,and survey research to analyze the development process of vocational education in the United States,the United Kingdom,and Japan,analyze the characteristics of the implementation of general vocational integration,and find experiences and strategies that can be used for reference.In addition,by conducting a questionnaire survey on the current situation of vocational education among students from two typical secondary vocational schools in D District of M City,and analyzing typical cases of vocational school integration in the eastern,central,and western regions of China,the factors affecting China’s implementation of vocational education integration were summarized,and feasible plans were proposed from a macro perspective to achieve vocational education integration and overcome difficulties in China.This study is divided into four parts:Introduction and Chapter 1,combined with the needs of national development for the integration of general and vocational education in secondary vocational education,analyze the background,significance,necessity,domestic and international status of the integration of general and vocational education in secondary vocational education,as well as the logical analysis of the integration of general and vocational education in China.The second chapter mainly outlines the development path of vocational education in China,and gradually explores a path that conforms to the characteristics of the country after the reform and opening up.There are mainly five major periods: first,the period of rectification and development;The second is the period of expansion and adjustment;The third is the period of reform and innovation;The fourth is the period of comprehensive development;The fifth is the period of high-quality development.In these five major development processes,there are many problems and relatively successful cases.At the same time,through the questionnaire distributed by the questionnaire star,it is concluded that there are three major factors affecting the integration of general vocational education in secondary vocational education: cognitive bias in vocational education;Insufficient refinement and inadequate implementation of vocational education related policies;The integration strategy of general and vocational education is single and of low quality.The third chapter summarizes the experience of vocational education in the UK,the United States,and Japan,as well as typical cases of general vocational integration in Guangdong,Anhui,and Yunnan provinces in China.Due to the different development histories and national situations of each of the three countries,their policies and strategic ideas for vocational education are also different.Based on the common analysis of vocational education strategies of representative schools in the UK,US,Japan,and three typical regions in China,the following three conclusions can be drawn: firstly,it is necessary to pay attention to the influence of social perspectives on vocational education awareness and policies;secondly,the government should play a leading role in it,The third is to provide guarantees for the improvement of vocational education policies through systems.Chapter 4 proposes corresponding improvement suggestions for the integration of general vocational education in secondary vocational education in China.The integration of general education and vocational education is not a simple integration of both in terms of curriculum,teaching staff,and other aspects.It is a new reform approach aimed at promoting the comprehensive development of students in order to solve the current problem of insufficient and imbalanced education.There are mainly five suggestions: First,correct cognitive bias;Secondly,optimize the design of secondary vocational education policies;Thirdly,improve the structure of vocational education system;Fourthly,all stakeholders should conscientiously fulfill their responsibilities and responsibilities;Fifth,strengthen theoretical research on secondary vocational education.China should seize opportunities and meet challenges,actively absorb the excellent experience of integrating general vocational education in the past,and inject new vitality into the education industry.
