Secondary vocational education,as the starting point of vocational education personnel training,has always shouldered the responsibility of inheriting technical skills,promoting employment and entrepreneurship,and accelerating the structural adjustment of national economic development.The development of secondary vocational students’ learning power is the key to promote the high-quality development of secondary vocational education.In this paper,the learning power of secondary vocational students is taken as the research object,the popularity of the integration and the learning power of secondary vocational students are investigated in combination with the background of the integration of general and vocational education,and the strategies for improving the learning power of secondary vocational students are proposed based on the general development direction of the integration of general and vocational education,in hope of enhancing the adaptability of vocational education,accelerating the construction of a modern vocational education system effectively and building a skill-based society and a study-type country.Finally,providing strong talent and skills support for building a modern socialist country comprehensively.Taking Huizhou secondary vocational School as an example,consulting relevant literature and using learning organization theory,constructivism learning theory,multiple intelligence theory and macro vocational education theory as theoretical basis,this study compiled "secondary vocational students’ Learning Power Questionnaire","Teacher Interview Outline" and "Parents Interview Outline".560 questionnaires were randomly distributed to students in different class types,grades and majors in 3 secondary vocational schools.551 valid questionnaires were collected,and 15 secondary vocational teachers and 12 parents were interviewed.A survey is conducted on the popularity of the integration of general and vocational education,as well as five elements of learning power,which includes learning motivation,learning perseverance,learning ability,learning reciprocity and learning creativity.According to the data results,the overall learning power of secondary vocational students is at an medium level,among which the students in the matching promotion class are significantly better than the students in the 3+2 promotion class and the employment class in all aspects of learning power.Secondary vocational education does not play the educational role that is supposed to be achieved by distinguishing different class types.It is concluded that the main reasons affecting secondary vocational students’ learning ability are as follows:(1)Lack of learning motivation and the obvious tendency of passive learning;(2)Lack of learning perseverance,poor ability to resist setbacks;(3)Weak learning foundation and limited learning ability;(4)Lack of reciprocal in learning behaviors and passive learning atmosphere;(5)Inflexible thinking ability and narrow perspective in creation.As for the popularization degree of the integration of general and vocational education,the following conclusions can be drawn from the interviews of teachers and parents: the school-running pattern of the integration of general and vocational education has not been popularized to local schools,and teachers and parents have not had a deep understanding of the relative educational concept,which further indicates that the practice of the integration of general and vocational education is far from enough,prompting the exploration of new school mode of integration in two types of education.Based on the background of the integration of general and vocational education,this paper puts forward corresponding strategies for improving the learning power of secondary vocational students from five aspects: educational concept,top-level design,cooperative mode,curriculum construction and teaching staff.First of all,we should deepen the concept of general education and vocational education: change the concept of valuing general education and neglecting vocational education in society,construct the concept of diversified talents in school,enhance the educational concept of family education.Secondly,strengthen the top-level design of the integration of general and vocational education: deepen local policies and regulations on the integration of industry and education,optimize the fiscal policy of vocational education,establish complete study access for vocational education;implement preferential policies for vocational education.Thirdly,enrich the cooperation mode of the integration of general and vocational education: strengthen the exchange of educational resources with general high schools,promote cooperation and mutual assistance with enterprises and industries,explore ways to build comprehensive high schools.Fourthly,improve the curriculum system of th integration of general and vocational education: attach importance to life planning and career planning course,construct modular elective courses of "knowledge + skill + accomplishment",establish a digital teaching resource.Finally,it is necessary to build the teacher team of the integration of general and vocational education:optimize the structure of teachers and strengthen the training of "double-qualified" teachers,implement the guarantee mechanism for teachers,deepen the cooperation mechanism between general and vocational schools.
