Lenin said that the ideal of the future society could not be imagined without the combination of education and productive labor of the young generation.Human existence,development and progress of human civilization are inseparable from labor,labor is the fundamental driving force of human social progress.Labor education is an important part of the education system.In 2018,the National Education Conference included labor education into the education policy for the first time and included labor education into the "Five education" system.In March 2020,the CPC Central Committee and The State Council issued the Opinions on Comprehensively Strengthening Labor Education in Universities,Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era,which is an overall guideline for strengthening labor education.In April 2021,the newly revised Education Law of the People’s Republic of China added the concept of "cultivating socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality,intelligence,physical fitness,the United States and labor".These policies reflect that the Party and the state attach great importance to students’ labor education and play a good role in guiding schools and educational administrative departments at all levels to actively carry out labor education.The importance of labor education is obvious,and active labor education has become a general consensus.However,due to the long-term influence of the baton of exam-oriented education,there is still a big gap between the enthusiasm of schools to carry out labor education and the requirements of the state and social needs: In the provinces and cities where the author works,there is no special curriculum of labor education in junior middle schools.The curriculum of Morality and Rule of Law in junior middle schools is not paid attention to.The lack of labor education in schools,the lack of labor consciousness among students,and the situation of looking down on labor,not knowing how to work,and not cherishing the fruits of labor are common.What’s more,some parents and teachers have a biased cognition of labor education,"alienation" of labor as a means to punish students,despise physical labor,etc.,which is bound to affect the development of labor education,labor education status needs to be improved.In this context,the author studies the course of "Morality and Rule of Law" in junior middle school,aiming at responding to the national call and providing reference for teachers to carry out labor education.Through questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation,further understand the current situation of labor education of "Morality and Rule of Law" course in junior high school,and find that there are still problems in labor education such as insufficient attention,lack of practice,lack of rich content and weak effectiveness.Based on this,the author defines the goal of labor education,exercises the professional skills of teachers,develops labor education resources,and improves the evaluation system of labor education.The three parties of "family,school and community" cooperate to carry out five aspects of labor education,put forward feasible countermeasures to strengthen the labor education of "Morality and rule of law" course in junior high school,improve the current situation of labor education of "morality and rule of law" course in junior high school,help students establish correct labor values,and become socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality,intelligence,body,United States and labor.
