With the gradual transformation of family education from the "private domain" to the "public domain" and the rising demand for family education guidance,it is a trend to build a family education guidance service system with the participation of multiple subjects. As an important participant, schools are obliged to organize and implement family education guidance services, both in terms of external policy requirements and internal development logic, and their specific responsibilities and how to do so effectively are determined by their own "can do" and "can’t do".The importance of family education cannot be overstated, especially as primary school is a critical period in the development of students’ thinking and moral character.A survey on the effectiveness and difficulties of family education guidance services in primary schools is a prerequisite for clarifying the responsibilities of primary schools and the effective implementation of family education guidance services. This paper selects selected primary schools to investigate the current situation in terms of parents’ wishes, satisfaction and needs,as well as primary schools’ awareness, implementation and security. The survey shows that primary schools are currently the most trusted family education guidance service organization for primary school parents, and are also the important venue for implementing family education guidance services with initial success, but there are still some problems and difficulties in implementation, mainly: the existing family education guidance services in primary schools are not systematic, the awareness and implementation capacity of primary school parents themselves are insufficient, and the cooperation between primary schools, families and other relevant organizations is insufficient.In-depth analysis has led to the following reasons: insufficient attention from all parties, inadequate execution by those involved, inadequate service mechanisms and unclear division of responsibilities among all parties. From the perspective of primary schools, they need to continue to improve themselves in terms of awareness and implementation, and they need the support of other relevant departments and organizations in terms of safeguarding and cooperation.Based on this, this paper proposes four countermeasures: firstly, primary schools themselves should proactively assume their own responsibilities.By strengthening assessment and policy interpretation, schools and teachers can raise their awareness of their responsibilities;by strengthening publicity, parents can be guided to pay more attention.Secondly,we rely on parents’ needs and improve the implementation mechanism.Schools change their mindset, pay attention to and understand the actual needs of parents, and make timely and scientific adjustments to the process according to the actual needs of parents.Third, seek help from all parties and improve the guarantee mechanism. With the assistance of the government and other organizations, set up a professional family education guidance service team, set uniform entry and assessment standards and conduct regular assessments, set up special incentive funds and provide regular training to meet the actual needs of teachers.Fourth, strengthen communication and cooperation with other relevant organizations.Sort out the division of responsibilities among the participating parties, each in its own way,and strengthen communication and cooperation with other organizations.
