A Group Work Study On The Improvement Of Emotional Management Ability Of Actual Orphans

Orphans in fact are in a vulnerable position among teenagers.The physical and mental development of orphans in fact has always been a problem that cannot be ignored,especially their emotional problems have attracted more and more attention.Therefore,the author investigated,studied and analyzed the emotional management of local factual orphans in X Town,Wuxi City,Jiangsu Province,and conducted an intervention study by taking a group that improved the management ability of local factual orphans as an example.In the process of research,the emotional management ability assessment scale was used as an assessment tool,and under the guidance of ABC theory of emotion and emotional intelligence theory,Through the form of social work group,we can intervene with the factual orphans to help them correct their irrational cognition and learn effective emotional management methods,so as to improve their emotional management ability,solve the problems caused by emotional problems independently,and finally deal with the challenges in life with a positive and healthy attitude.Through the research and analysis of orphans and their families,this study learned that orphans in fact generally have relatively serious negative emotions,among which the most common manifestations are sensitivity,inferiority,irritability,loneliness and jealousy,which will have a certain impact on their behavior,such as comparison,aggression,rebelliousness and other deviant behaviors,thus affecting their normal life and learning.In addition,through observation and emotion management ability scale measurement,it can be found that orphans have emotional dilemmas with large emotional amplitude fluctuation and weak emotion management ability to a certain extent.At the same time,it is found that the emotional management of factual orphans is affected by personal belief,family structure,school education and other factors,among which the absolute,overgeneralization and the irrational belief of terrible expectation of factual orphans are the important reasons,which are influenced by family,academic and peer factors.Therefore,based on the above situation,the author takes emotion cognition,emotion understanding,emotion regulation and emotion application as four dimensions of emotion management.In the group intervention,based on the ABC theory of emotion,the author guides factual orphans to understand the correlation among cognition,emotion and behavior,adjusts their own irrational beliefs,and breaks the negative cycle of irrational behaviors caused by irrational cognition.Face life’s difficulties and challenges with a positive attitude.Improvement of emotion management ability After the intervention,the total score of emotion management ability of the group members showed an obvious upward trend,and the average score of the four dimensions of emotion cognition,emotion understanding,emotion regulation and emotion use were improved.This group intervention program is in line with the actual situation of emotional management ability of factual orphans,and can effectively help factual orphans improve their emotional management ability and promote their healthy growth.It has great practical significance and deserves further promotion.
