The country passed the newly revised "Vocational Education Law of the People’s Republic of China" in April of 2022,which mentioned that it was necessary to encourage and support general primary and secondary schools and ordinary colleges and universities to conduct vocational enlightenment education according to actual needs.As the primary stage of the modern vocational education system,vocational enlightenment education is first clarified in the form of law,which fully reflects the importance of vocational enlightenment education.At present,the vocational enlightenment education of primary and secondary schools has also received everyone’s attention.The primary school stage is a golden period for carrying out professional enlightenment education.The purpose of carrying out professional enlightenment education at this stage is not to teach some kind of professional skills in primary school students,but to let them understand the classification and characteristics of current occupations,different requirements and standards of common occupations as soon as possible.It can help primary school students establish a connection between the discipline content and the career world and provide primary school students with a correct understanding of the talent needs of society and the division of labor in society,to plan their lives rationally,to develop an awareness of career planning,and to guide primary school students to form a correct view of careers and prepare for future employment and development.This study focuses on the current situation of the implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary schools,trying to investigate the problems in the implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary schools,analyze the causes,and propose optimization strategies through a survey of the current situation.Therefore,this study takes District H in Beihai as an example,and uses a combination of questionnaires,interviews and observation methods to investigate the current situation of the overall development of the current implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary school,and collates and analyzes the data to find that the following problems exist in the current implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary school.The awareness of vocational enlightenment education in schools is weak,teachers in primary school do not have enough awareness and ability to penetrate vocational enlightenment education in their subjects,the implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary school is in a single form,and schools do not make enough efforts to create an environment and atmosphere for the implementation of vocational enlightenment education.An analysis of the causes of the above problems from the perspective of school management reveals that the reasons for the problems are multifaceted.Namely,schools do not pay much attention to vocational enlightenment education.The implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary schools lacks humanistic management concepts.There is no scientific and reasonable way to implement vocational enlightenment education in primary schools.And the implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary schools does not form a synergy of educational resources for co-education among families,schools and communities.Finally,based on the analysis of the above problems and causes,the following optimization strategies are proposed.The first is to implement a people-oriented management concept of vocational enlightenment education.The second is to build a diversified curriculum system of vocational enlightenment education.The third is to explore diversified ways of implementing vocational enlightenment education in primary school.And the fourth is to put more effort into building the environment and creating the atmosphere for the implementation of vocational enlightenment education.
