Under the comprehensive implementation of the "double reduction" policy,primary school after-school sports services have received attention from various departments and have developed rapidly.This has profound significance in reducing the academic burden on primary school students and promoting their comprehensive and healthy growth.However,in the actual work,after-school sports services also face many challenges that need to be solved.Therefore,this article takes 16 primary schools in Chat City as the research object,and uses document data,interview,field investigation,inquiry survey,and mathematical statistics to explore the main challenges faced by after-school sports services in Chat City primary schools during the development process,and provide reasonable optimization paths based on the analysis of the situation.The investigation found that the current situation of after-school sports services in Chat City primary schools is as follows:(1)Only one of the 16 primary schools did not develop after-school sports services due to issues such as funding and safety,while the rest of the primary schools have good after-school sports service development;(2)There are differences in the time and frequency of after-school sports services among different grade levels,with basketball,football,and track and field being the most popular projects,and interest classes being the main form of development;(3)There are significant differences in the venue,safety measures,and management system of after-school sports services in different schools;(4)There is a gap between the afterschool sports service projects that students hope to participate in and the reality.Some students have negative reactions in terms of injury,poor teacher classroom enthusiasm,and high activity levels;(5)Nearly 30% of physical education teachers are not very satisfied with the treatment level of after-school sports service affairs,and physical education teachers bear considerable pressure and burden in after-school sports services;(6)Many parents think that the charging standards for after-school sports services are reasonable,but some parents have shortcomings in understanding,supervision,and cooperation.The investigation and analysis results reflect that Chat City primary schools face the following challenges in the process of developing after-school sports services:(1)The breeding of school utilitarianism;(2)Insufficient supply of service resources;(3)Inadequate safety guarantee;(4)Unhealthy management system;(5)Damage to student abilities;(6)Non-autonomous student choice rights;(7)Uneven comprehensive quality of teachers;(8)Generally low enthusiasm of teachers’ work;(9)Optimization of teacher teaching setting plans needed;(10)Limitations of parental awareness;(11)Lack of parental participation.Based on the description of the challenges and analysis,this article provides the following optimization paths:(1)The government strengthens supervision,and schools eliminate bad practices;(2)Regulate reasonable demand and deepen supply-side reform;(3)Build a "pre-event,during-event,and post-event" safety closure;(4)Cultivate student awareness of rights and initiate supervision and choice rights;(5)Strictly control teacher quality and broaden professional horizons;(6)Improve support mechanisms and pay attention to teacher pressure;(7)Optimize classroom design and attach importance to post-job training;(8)Guide parents to participate in sports and build a long-term supervision platform.
