After-class physical education service is an important part of school physical education. At present,it seems to have become one of the important ways to promote the overall development of primary and secondary students, improve their physical health level and cultivate their interest in sports. At present, the development of after-school sports services has been driven by the "double reduction" policy, and has moved from the comprehensive promotion stage to the stage of improving quality and efficiency. Its functional value of promoting students’ decompression and comprehensive development has been further explored. However,in the process of service development, there are still many problems, such as lack of service content, imperfect supervision and evaluation mechanism, inadequate allocation of service resources, poor teaching effect, etc.,which restrict the breadth and depth of service development. Therefore, under the guidance of the "double reduction" policy, the development of after-school sports services still needs to be improved. This paper uses the methods of literature, questionnaire, mathematical statistics, interview and field investigation to investigate and study the current situation and effect of after-school physical education services in Xinyang Primary School in Hubei-Henan-Anhui Soviet District, with a view to mastering the latest development situation, combining the actual situation of local basic education, finding out the influencing factors that restrict the development of after-school physical education services, and putting forward relevant optimization suggestions,Further improve the quality of after-school physical education services in Xinyang primary schools. The results show that:(1)School leaders, teachers, students, and parents generally hold a supportive attitude towards after-school sports services, but there are still some leaders and teachers who have a shallow understanding of the value of after-school sports services after "double reduction" and cannot attach importance to the development of after-school sports services.(2)With the implementation of the "double reduction" policy, primary schools in the urban area of Xinyang City have significantly improved the types of after-school sports service projects, mainly focusing on mass sports such as basketball, football, and track and field.However,79.2% of students still expect the school to continue opening new projects for selection, indicating that the current projects offered by Xinyang Urban Primary School cannot meet the diverse needs of students.(3)In the surveyed schools, the majority of physical education after-school service activities grow up from 1 hour to 1.5 hours, which is in line with the national requirement for primary and secondary school students to exercise for one hour per day. However, the organization frequency is unreasonable, with 7 schools only conducting sports once or twice a week, making it difficult to meet students’ sports needs.(4)There are insufficient service resources such as teachers, venues, and funds for after-school physical education services in primary schools in Xinyang City. The service teachers and venues mainly rely on campus resources, and lack linkage with off-school sports resources. The service funds mainly rely on collecting service fees from parents, and the government and schools have relatively limited funding, resulting in difficulties in meeting the demand for service funds.(5)There are omissions in the management of after-school sports service regulations for primary schools in Xinyang City.Among the surveyed schools, there are still 3schools that do not have a dedicated management team, and 5 schools have incomplete rules and regulations, lack of supervision in the service process, and inadequate implementation by teachers.(6)In terms of teaching, more than 60% of service teachers are able to carry out teaching design in advance and teach according to the activity plan. However, there are obstacles in communication channels with parents about teaching, which affect parents’ understanding of their children’s participation and learning.82.86% of students approve of the courses offered by service teachers, but there are also some teachers who have incorrect teaching attitudes and lack a sense of responsibility, causing dissatisfaction among students.(7)The safety assurance and evaluation system is not sound. Some teachers lack awareness of safety education, and schools do not pay enough attention to the safety of students. At the same time, the school’s evaluation system for after-school physical education services is not perfect, and there is no single set of evaluation system standards applicable to after-school physical education services.(8)Most leaders, parents, and students are satisfied with the effectiveness of sports after-school services, but due to factors such as teachers, management and implementation, venue equipment, and service funds, there is still room for improvement in service effectiveness.Based on the current situation of sports after-school service in Xinyang primary schools, combined with the relevant practices and advanced experience of sports after-school service at home and abroad, the following optimization paths are proposed:(1)deepen the publicity and improve the awareness of sports after-school service;(2)Enrich the after-school service content of physical education and scientifically set the frequency of development;(3)Introduce diversified teachers and optimize the teaching staff:(4)Seek support from various parties to expand the venue and funding sources;(5)Strengthen the construction of school rules and regulations based on policies and regulations;(6)We will strengthen student security and improve the supervision and evaluation mechanism at all levels. |
