Study On Competency Model Constructing Of High Level Tennis Coaches In China

Coach competence is the internal quality and external action ability that coaches need to complete training and cultivate athletes with high quality.In the process of construction and development of high-level tennis coaches,building a competency model of high-level tennis coaches based on person-post matching plays an important guiding role in a series of work such as coaches’ organizational performance,talent selection,training and effective motivation.A scientific and reasonable competency evaluation model for coaches can not only highlight the functions of performance assessment guidance,improvement and motivation,but also transmit the strategic thinking and core training concepts of competitive sports to coaches,thus improving the scientific level of sports training.Therefore,this study takes the competency of high-level tennis coaches in China as the perspective,and takes the competency theory,job analysis theory,and person-post matching theory as the academic support to build the competency model of high-level tennis coaches in China,aiming to provide reference for the development of human resources of high-level tennis coaches in China,and help improve the competency of high-level tennis coaches in China and the development of competitive tennis career.The article adopts the methods of literature,key event interview,Delphi method and AHP.Taking the competency model of high-level tennis coaches in China as the research object.According to the relevant literature and the existing research basis,combined with the key event interview method,this paper identifies,refines and integrates the key indicators of the competence of high-level tennis coaches in China;Secondly,based on the establishment of the key indicators of the competence of high-level tennis coaches in China,this paper uses Delphi method and statistical analysis to screen,revise and judge the key indicators,and finally determines the competency indicator system of high-level tennis coaches in China;Once again,the weight coefficient of each index is determined by the analytic hierarchy process,and then the competency model of China’s high-level tennis coaches is constructed.On this basis,the evaluation criteria of China’s high-level tennis coaches are formulated,and strategies for optimizing the training,selection,performance evaluation and other aspects of China’s high-level tennis coaches are proposed.Through research,the following conclusions are finally reached:(1)The competence of China’s high-level tennis coaches refers to the internal quality and explicit action ability that coaches need to have to complete tennis training and cultivate athletes in high-quality tennis teams,including comprehensive knowledge,training ability,social role,personality traits and other parts.(2)The competency model of China’s high-level tennis coaches consists of six first-level indicators,including "comprehensive knowledge","training ability","competition guidance ability","personal characteristics","social role" and "self-improvement",including 34second-level indicators,including "scientific selection ability","professional ethics" and "achievement motivation".(3)According to the theoretical guidance of the competency model of high-level tennis coaches built in the early stage,combined with the policy text analysis and expert interview opinions,the competency evaluation standards of high-level tennis coaches in China are formulated to provide a theoretical reference for the objective evaluation of the work of our tennis coaches and the rational selection of high-level tennis coaches.(4)Through the established competency model of China’s high-level tennis coaches,combined with the work content of China’s high-level tennis coaches,this paper puts forward strategies for improving the competency of China’s high-level tennis coaches from the four areas of coaches’ training,selection,performance assessment and career planning,which can help relevant management organizations improve the mechanism and optimize the system,and make the training of China’s high-level tennis coaches more scientific Precision.
