| Nowadays,the influence of skills competition in China is increasing,which is manifested in the gradual expansion of development scale,continuous improvement of level,more and more coverage of competition events and the increasing number of competitors year by year.As one of the most important human resources in skills competition,coaches’competency level affects the development of skills competition by influencing the quality of players’training.Competency characteristics are defined as the deep,underlying characteristics that distinguish good performers from average performers in a job,organization,or culture.Therefore,it is of certain practical value to explore the competency model of Chinese coaches in skills competition in this study.In this study,the method of literature,key event interview and questionnaire survey were used to construct and verify the competency model of coaches in China’s skills competition by taking 7 gold medal experts and 445 coaches in China’s skills competition as the research objects,and the“Competency Evaluation Scale for Coaches in China’s Skills Competition"was formed.Questionnaire compiled phase to China hownet coaches competency skills contest on literature and network of coaches interview the data report for the literature analysis,extract the coaches competence initial up to 54,key through to our country seven critical incident interview skills contest gold experts get 18 key events of content analysis,according to the coaches to deal with the behavior of key events to extract the corresponding key 25.The literature analysis method to extract up to interview method to extract key words and key events for key words to merge sort,received 25 dictionary skills contest coaches competence characteristics,the classification of reference"iceberg model",combining skills contest,professional characteristics and the working content of the coaches will be 25 competence characteristics elements words grouped into five dimensions,respectively is the"personality","professional knowledge","ethics","management capability"and"professional skills",skills contest in our country is compiled on the basis of the coaches competence characteristics questionnaire(original edition)85 entries.In the stage of questionnaire verification,the questionnaire(initial version)was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 445 coaches in the skills competition.Through exploratory factor analysis and model modification,the"Competency Assessment Scale for Coaches in China’s Skills Competition"with 52 items in 5 dimensions was formed.The Cronbach’sαcoefficient of the scale is 0.975,and the Cronbach’sαvalue of the five dimensions is between0.804-0.916,indicating that the scale has good reliability.The R values between dimensions and dimensions ranged from 0.824 to 0.899,and the R values between 5 dimensions and total scores ranged from 0.906 to 0.964.The R values between 5 dimensions and total scores were greater than the R values between dimensions and dimensions,indicating that the structural validity of this scale was good.The confirmatory factor analysis of the model shows that X~2/df=1.275,RMSEA=0.036,SRMR=0.049,CFI=0.904 and TLI=0.900,indicating that the model has a good fit and can be used as a tool to evaluate the competence of coaches in skill competition.The competency model of coaches in China’s skills competition includes five dimensions and 25 competency factors.The five dimensions and the corresponding competency factors are:management competence dimension consists of problem solving,motivation,cooperation ability,communication ability and talent cultivation.The dimensions of personality characteristics consist of initiative,self-control,achievement motivation,self-confidence,competitiveness and approachability.The dimension of professional skills consists of innovation ability,operational skills,planning,attention to details,analysis and summary.The dimension of professional ethics consists of honesty and trustworthiness,dedication,sense of service,dedication,excellence and fairness.The dimension of professional knowledge consists of knowledge of talent selection,continuous learning and training.Finally,this paper analyzes the various dimensions and contents of the competency model of coaches in China’s skills competition.On this basis,relevant suggestions are provided for therecruitment/selection,training and career planning of coaches in China’s skills competition. |
