In order to promote the healthy development of the preschool education,on September 7,2020,the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China on the official website published the Ministry of Education of the preschool education law of the People’s Republic of China(draft)"the draft the announcement of public comment," the draft "accrual for preschool teachers,preschool teachers’ qualification,preschool teacher’s professional norms,the training of culture to make the rules.Preschool teachers is the enlightenment and guidance to promote the development of children’s physical and mental health,plays an important role which cannot be ignored,preschool teachers’ professional ability and literacy level is also the important factors that affect the development of preschool education,therefore,to promote early childhood teachers grow,is to strengthen the construction of preschool teachers’ team,promote the healthy growth of young children,the important guarantee to improve the quality of preschool education.Therefore,the competency of preschool teachers has gradually attracted the attention of scholars and practitioners.The competency of preschool teachers refers to the individual potential characteristics of excellent preschool teachers in efficiently completing kindergarten education and teaching compared with ordinary teachers,that is,a set of information,experiences,skills,activities and behavior patterns that kindergarten teachers possess.This research studies the based on the competency iceberg theory model,combined with previous research foundation,refer to the Ministry of Education promulgated the "kindergarten teachers’ professional standard(trial)",by behavior event interview to extract the outstanding differences between preschool teachers and ordinary preschool teacher competence characteristics of 20 items,using survey and expert panel : first of all,screening in line with the competence characteristics of preschool teachers’ position,the results show that the extracted all20 competence characteristics comply with the preschool teachers’ position;Secondly,according to whether the extracted competency features can clearly distinguish preschool teachers from ordinary preschool teachers,thirteen competency features are screened out,and then the dimensions corresponding to the competency characteristics are determined by listening to the opinions of the expert group.Finally,a competency model of preschool teachers including thirteen competency features of three dimensions is constructed.According to the iceberg model theory,the competency model of preschool teachers can be divided into three dimensions: the dimension "specialty and skill" above the iceberg level,including five competency characteristics,namely "professional knowledge","learning ability","adaptability","education and teaching ability" and "organization and management ability";the deepest dimension "individual characteristics" below the iceberg level It includes four competencies,namely "carefulness","affinity","responsibility" and "emotion management";and the dimension "professional attitude" between them,including four competencies,namely "love","patience","professional ethics" and "service dedication".In the second study,on the basis of the competency model of preschool teachers constructed in the first study,referring to the previous competency literature and combining with the standards of preschool teachers promulgated in China,psychological professionals were invited to give opinions on the content and structure of the questionnaire,and a competency assessment tool for preschool teachers was developed based on this.Firstly,item analysis,reliability test and exploratory factor analysis of the test results of the initial version of the questionnaire were used to determine the topics of the formal version of the questionnaire.Secondly,reliability test and validity test were used to further test the validity and reliability of the test results of the competency assessment tool.The results show that the questionnaire conforms to the standard of psychometrics and can be used as an effective tool to measure the post competence of preschool teachers.The third study describes the test results of the assessment tools developed in the second study,aiming to investigate the overall competence level of prospective preschool teachers and the differences in the competence of prospective preschool teachers in terms of gender,age,education background and working hours.The results show that the overall competence of prospective preschool teachers is good,and the differences of gender,age,educational background and working hours in the competence of prospective preschool teachers are not significant.Preschool teachers’ competency assessment questionnaire including professional skills,professional attitudes and the individual characteristics of three subscales,strain capacity,the education teaching ability,organization and management ability,love,patience,professional ethics,service,dedication,careful,affinity,sense of responsibility,emotional management 11 items competence characteristics and lie detection project,a total of 66 competency title,6polygraph topics.Build this study of preschool teachers’ competency model and the development of the competency assessment questionnaire can not only further expand and enrich the competency research in the field of early childhood teachers,for preschool teachers’ competency level evaluation provides a certain theoretical basis,but also can help the kindergarten further targeted positioning of preschool teachers’ training needs,provide certain reference for the development of the growth of preschool teachers’ opinions.
