It has become a social consensus that smoking is harmful to health, but smoking is still widespread in daily life, and shows a downward trend in the age of smokers. The problem of underage smoking has aroused the attention of society and academia.Through the review of previous relevant research literature, this study found that the research on this problem is mainly concentrated in the fields of medicine and education, mostly to analyze the status quo, harm and causes of juvenile smoking.Countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from the macro level such as policy intervention, but there are few studies on the individual level of social work intervention. In judicial social work, social workers have found that smoking among delinquent minors is more common, and this problem often leads to a series of serious consequences. Therefore, this study takes the correction of smoking behaviors of delinquent minors as the main research content, and discusses the intervention process and effect under the behavior therapy model,in order to form a smoking cessation intervention strategy and help improve the effect of helping and teaching juveniles involved in crime.Social workers define smoking behavior and propose that smoking is composed of behavior and symbolic meaning, including curiosity, comparison, imitation, bad communication. In this paper, interview and observation methods were used to collect relevant information, and intervention of smoking behavior was carried out in the mode of behavioral therapy. The specific intervention process is divided into five stages: establishment of professional relationship, understanding of smoking behavior, seeking role model learning, application of positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement and aversion therapy, and evaluation of intervention effect. The treatment of smoking behavior is carried out through typical behavioral therapy models such as positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, example, aversion therapy,self-management and guidance. At the same time, the method of pre and post measurement is adopted.Data statistics and analysis of smoking behavior were carried out in stages to test the effect of intervention and enhance the objectivity of case work. The results show that it is feasible to correct smoking behavior under the behavior therapy mode and can achieve good intervention effects. The number of smokers in the service subjects is significantly reduced, the self-assessment scores of curiosity, comparison, imitation and bad communication are significantly decreased, and the procuratorial organ has decided not to prosecute after the service term expires. In case work, attention should be paid to the obvious deviant behavior of minors involved in crime and intervention should be carried out,and the effect of correcting deviant behavior should be one of the criteria to measure the effect of helping and teaching.
