In the new era,with the rapid development of economy and the rapid development of artificial intelligence and information technology,people’s life and working style have changed dramatically,and people’s survival consciousness and basic literacy are also affected in a subtle way,which puts forward new requirements and challenges for the development of labor education.As a group of workers who are about to enter the society,college students play a major role in labor production and are important targets for labor education.The university is the main place of talent cultivation,an important place for labor education of college students,and an important task of cultivating builders and successors of socialism with Chinese characteristics.Since the 18 th Party Congress,Xi Jinping’s important theory of labor education in the new era has been formed,which is an important guideline for carrying out labor education.Therefore,standing in the new historical orientation,actively exploring and strengthening labor education for college students is the answer of the times,the demand of education and the need of talents.The labor education for college students in the new era is a part of the talent cultivation system,with labor concepts,labor emotions,labor habits,and labor skills as the main content.It aims to cultivate good young people in the new era who have ideals,dare to take responsibility,can endure hardships,and are willing to strive,and truly achieve the goal of comprehensive improvement of comprehensive quality.Currently,labor education has achieved certain results to a certain extent,but there are still many problems in the actual implementation process: firstly,labor education lacks scientific and systematic management;Secondly,some students have a vague understanding of labor forms;Thirdly,college students lack unity in knowledge and action,and lack the initiative to participate in labor;Fourthly,labor education focuses on simple life labor,and skill development has not been deeply developed.The root causes of its problems are mainly manifested in four aspects: society,universities,families,and individuals.Specifically,at the social level,the poor inheritance of local culture,the negative atmosphere of Western ideological trends,and the negative impact of urbanization development;At the university level,inadequate investment in basic conditions such as faculty,funding,and safety guarantees,as well as imperfect evaluation mechanisms,have marginalized the main battlefield of labor education;At the family level,parents’ weak awareness of family culture construction and improper educational methods affect the formation of children’s labor values;In terms of subjectivity,college students lack subjective initiative and rely too much on artificial intelligence,leading to the breeding of laziness and a decline in labor ability.To this end,in response to these problems,it is necessary for society,universities,families and individuals to share the responsibility of labor education and contribute to the construction of labor education systematization in playing their respective roles.Society should provide rich practical resources for labor education,strengthen mainstream media propaganda,and give full play to the propaganda power of the Communist Youth League to create a strong social space;universities should strengthen the construction of labor education curriculum,improve the evaluation mechanism,build teachers’ strength,and increase the guarantee of basic conditions to build a long-term mechanism of labor education;parents should inherit the family culture,set a good example,train their children to work independently,guide to improve their children’s labor Parents should inherit the family culture,set a good example,train their children to work independently,guide them to improve their interest in labor,and create a good family education environment;college students should give full play to the subjective initiative of labor education,stimulate endogenous motivation,analyze the essence of labor in self-learning,regulate labor behavior in self-management,and accept new concepts of labor in self-reflection.
