A Case Study On The Stress Of Caregivers Of Urban Disabled Elderly

At present,the number of the elderly in China is increasing,and the degree of aging of the population is deepening.Of course,there is also a part of special population in the elderly population-disabled old people,disabled old people has become a social problem can not be ignored.According to the survey data,in recent years,the number of disabled old people is increasing.Due to the difference in physical condition of each disabled old person,the moderate and severe disabled old people will be unable to take care of themselves and need professional care.Under the influence of traditional concepts,most of the disabled elderly prefer to recover in the family,and the recovery period of the disabled elderly is long and the care task is heavy.The long-term care of family caregivers will affect the physical,psychological,family and social status of the caregivers,and make the caregivers have a care burden.Family caregivers need professional guidance to solve the burden,so the burden of family caregivers has become an urgent problem to be solved.This paper deeply investigated the situation of family caregivers for the disabled elderly in M community,Y City.By means of semi-structured interview and scale measurement,35 caregivers for the disabled elderly in this community had face-to-face conversations,so as to understand the basic situation of family caregivers,analyze their difficulties and burdens,and grasp their needs.Then according to the scale of measurement and their willingness to select the three types of director,respectively is the lack of care skills of family caregivers,family caregivers of family tensions,lack of social interaction of family caregivers)as members of the case for intervention,case solution plan,use case work methods of social work,to help solve the problems existing in the three cases.With the support of social support theory and energy enhancement theory,targeted activity plans were designed,and each activity was recorded and summarized.Finally,the effect of intervention was evaluated.Studies have found that family caregivers of disabled elderly people generally have stress,and the Zarite burden scale can be used to measure caregivers’ stress,including personal pressure,family tension pressure and lack of social support pressure.Stress for a long time to take care of the disability is the cause of the old man over load operation of the body,over load operation of caregivers can’t afford to,lead to disability,the elderly health gradually becomes poor,due to the lack of care skills,caregivers cannot adapt to fail the old man’s sudden situation,family enter a state of crisis,the lack of an effective psychological dredging technique caused by stress.The second is due to the unequal distribution of family care tasks,as well as the lack of family funds,resulting in the stress of family relations.The third is that family caregivers lack social support because they need to take care of the disabled elderly.In the process of practical intervention,different family caregivers have different problems,so it is suggested that the individual burden should not be attributed to personal problems,but should be solved in the context of the external environment.Evaluation stage,found that case involved in disability by means of scale for measuring the old caregiver burden method is feasible,to measure,after the intervention of family caregivers burden of family caregivers have obvious drop,but the social work intervention is not just in order to solve the problem alone,but hope to inspire the solution to the problem of potential within family caregivers,Improve the problem-solving skills of family caregiv...
