A Study On Social Support Network Of Female Migrant Workers And Its Influencing Factors

In recent years,the number of female migrant workers has increased year by year among urban migrant women groups,which is a new group emerging in the process of China’s reform and opening up.They entered the cities where they came to work,and made great contributions to the social and economic development of the cities with their wisdom and strength.At the same time,they also brought new challenges to social governance.For female migrant workers,their own survival and development are facing certain difficulties.Seeking social support and rebuilding the social support network is an inevitable choice to achieve their own growth and development.This paper takes female migrant workers in T District of Shanghai as the research object,adopting the research method of quantitative research as the main,and qualitative research as the auxiliary and supplement,through questionnaires,in-depth interviews,field visits and other methods to obtain research data,and studies the current situation of female migrant workers’ social support network in T District and its influencing factors.This paper analyzes and evaluates the current situation of female migrant workers’ social support network in T area from four dimensions of material support,occupational support,emotional support and interpersonal support.The analysis of the current situation of the network shows that the social support network of female migrant workers has the characteristics of small scale,strong homogeneity and strong relationship.The analysis of influencing factors shows that at the micro level,the individual factors and mobility factors of female migrant workers have different degrees of influence on the status of their social support networks.On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the characteristics,existing problems and influencing factors of female migrant workers’ social support network,this paper discusses the use of professional methods and technologies of social work,and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for building and improving female migrant workers’ material support,professional support,emotional support,and interpersonal support network,so as to help them out of difficulties and better adapt to urban social life.This study shows that only by providing multi-dimensional,multi subject and multi-level support to female migrant workers and forming the joint force of diversified support,can we better solve the problems existing in the social support network of female migrant workers,further promote this group to play an active role in the process of refined community governance and urban construction,and create a good atmosphere for all sectors of society to care for female migrant workers of the vulnerable group.
