With the liberalization of the birth policy and the change of ideology,people are increasingly interested in hiring confinement attendants to provide professional care,and in 2014,confinement attendants became a formal occupation recognized by the state.However,there are some problems,such as low job satisfaction and low professional pride,which affect the professional identity and the healthy development of the industry.Therefore,this study intends to use qualitative research methods to Exploratory research the current status of job identity.Specifically,this study used purposive sampling to conduct in-depth interviews with eight women in Jinan,two clients and one manager of a household management company,this paper summarizes the identity characteristics of the maternity ward,and systematically analyzes the deconstruction and reconstruction of the professional identity of the maternity ward in the process of service provision.On this basis,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to promote the reconstruction of the professional identity of the confinement sisters,so as to provide empirical evidence for the promotion of their professional development.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: first,based on the analysis of the interview data,the author concludes that the maternity care group has the characteristics of low education,middle-aged women and“Outsiders in the family”,there are three basic types of confinement sisters: making a living type,career type and interest type.Second,there are the following problems in the interaction between the nurse and the client:(1)there are three types of the nurse in the interaction with the client:(1)the role of“Full-time mother and baby-sitter” and“All-around nanny” cognitive conflict,“Professional guidance” and“Trust retention” cognitive conflict,“High-income” and“Non-decent workers” cognitive conflict of professional identity;(2)although there are different levels of professional identity conflicts among different types of maternity service providers,maternity service providers,to a certain extent,lack of voice,so the overall level of professional identity is low.Third,in the process of interaction between the nurse and the client,the nurse also adopts a series of strategies to enhance the professional identity:(1)the nurse insists on the role of“Mother and child care”,the professional identity of“Professional guidance” and the professional identity of“Decent work” by constructing the identity of“Family Outsider”,participating in professional skills training to enhance professional competence,participating in professional skills competition,etc.(2)the client’s recognition of the role,professional and professional identity of the baby-sitter is enhanced by constantly updating their cognition and confirming the professional identity of the baby-sitter during their interaction with the baby-sitter;(3)during the continuous interaction,the integration of the client’s identity cognition and the client’s own identity cognition promotes the professional identity of the confinement lady to a certain extent.Fourthly,based on the above findings,this study puts forward the following policy recommendations:(1)government level: increase financial support,improve labor rights and interests protection;(2)company level: strengthen vocational skills training,(3)other relevant departments: to strictly regulate the admission system and the employment market.
