In recent years,with the vigorous development of vocational education,vocational education and general education have the same status,vocational education has been attached great importance.Through investigation and analysis,it is found that most of the information technology classes in secondary vocational schools still adopt the traditional "cramming" teaching,which leads to students’ lack of learning motivation and low interest.These problems have seriously affected the implementation of teaching schedule.In recent years,with the in-depth study of gamified teaching,it is found that this model can improve students’ learning motivation,and some studies have shown that ARCS motivation model can also effectively improve students’ learning motivation.Therefore,the core of this study is to improve the learning motivation and efficiency of secondary vocational students with the gamification teaching model supplemented by ARCS motivation model.This paper mainly studies the gamified teaching model of secondary vocational schools based on ARCS motivation model,and makes relevant teaching design for information technology courses.First of all,this study reviews the research status of ARCS motivation model at home and abroad,the research status of gamification teaching at home and abroad,and the related flow theory,constructivism theory,immersion learning theory,etc.These theories provide theoretical support for the research.Secondly,corresponding questionnaires were compiled according to ARCS motivation theory to understand students’ motivation level,and the current situation of gamification teaching application in information technology courses in secondary vocational schools was understood through interviews.Based on ARCS motivation theory and combining with the characteristics of information technology curriculum and the characteristics of secondary vocational students,a set of gamification teaching model based on computer foundation and application is designed to meet the requirements of secondary vocational students.This teaching model integrates ARCS motivation elements into the gamified teaching process to build a gamified teaching model.Aiming at the constructed teaching mode,we design cases of declarative knowledge,procedural knowledge and declarative plus procedural knowledge as teaching content.By setting up experimental class and control class,the experimental research method is adopted to carry out a three-month practical research.Finally,the effectiveness of the study was verified by the students’ post-test results,learning motivation and coordination and communication ability.The research shows that the gamified teaching model based on ARCS motivation theory constructed in this study can stimulate students’ learning motivation,improve students’ classroom participation and improve students’ academic performance,thus verifying that this teaching model is superior to the traditional teaching model and further verifying the effectiveness of this research. |
