| In the long history of China,people’s wishes and pursuits for a better life run through every era.The literary and artistic works or thoughts and ideas condensed by these wishes have been handed down from generation to generation,which promotes the development of Chinese traditional culture.Traditional wood carving in northern Guangxi is an important part of the excellent ethnic culture in northern Guangxi region of China,and it is an important means to continue the excellent traditional culture by carrying out the curriculum development of traditional wood carving resources in northern Guangxi in junior middle school art.Based on the author’s investigation,it is found that there is still a lack of research on the curriculum development of traditional wood carving resources in northern Guangxi in junior middle school art.Focusing on northern Guangxi region,the author collected,classified and sorted out wood carving information of ancient building groups in Guilin city and surrounding counties,and investigated and expounded the formation and present situation,theme and implication,carving techniques,color and artistic conception expression of traditional wood carving resources in northern Guangxi respectively,so as to collect relevant materials for the curriculum development of traditional wood carving resources in northern Guangxi in junior middle school art.Based on the investigation of traditional wood carving resources in northern Guangxi,the research on the present situation of art teaching in junior middle schools in northern Guangxi,and the level of knowledge of students and teachers in northern Guangxi about the traditional wood carving in northern Guangxi,the author analyzed and discussed the necessity and feasibility of the research on traditional wood carving in northern Guangxi.The development and utilization of traditional wood carving resources in northern Guangxi not only responds to the national policy on the protection of traditional culture,but also meets the needs of the cultivation of art literacy of junior middle school students in northern Guangxi.Combined with the Compulsory Education Art Curriculum Standard(2022 Edition),the author strove to reflect the training objectives of China’s compulsory education stage,and based on the research on traditional wood carving in northern Guangxi in the early stage of this subject,the author carried out three curriculum development designs for the art curriculum of grades 8-9,namely,the appreciation curriculum Great Beauty in Wood,the design curriculum Use of Wood and the modeling curriculum Based on Wood.In the arrangement of curriculum implementation,it is from superficial to profound,from superficial to internal,and the order of curriculum design is from the appreciation curriculum to the design curriculum and then to the modeling curriculum,so that students can have a clear understanding of the wishes conveyed in the traditional wood carving in northern Guangxi,the selection of wood carving patterns,the production process,the use of tools and the innovation of patterns,and can master the learning methods of traditional arts and crafts,thus improving students’ capabilities in image reading,art performance,aesthetic judgment,creative practice and cultural understanding,and enabling them to possess certain core literacy of the art discipline in junior middle school.In this paper,the author also mentioned the problems and solutions encountered in the curriculum development of traditional wood carving in northern Guangxi,and adjusted the curriculum development of traditional woodcarving in northern Guangxi according to the effect of curriculum implementation,so as to achieve better teaching effect. |
